Anybody any good at these? I've been playing the $15 ones on Stars just to learn them but need some basic advice.

Can we create a table for this on PFA poker?

If you can make me profitable I'll donate some winnings to PFA. Currently down $300 but definitely learning the hard way.

Things I have learned so far:

Don't bother chasing. Opponent is probably freerolling you with half locked up.
Don't bet your made trips until the board pairs against solid opponent. Unless you have the low locked up.
middle cards suck, AAxx is way overplayed, A is most valuable for a low, you want your xx to be low and suited.
lol russians
just pot your made hands, people will call off with worse. ie) just flopped quad Kings with no low possible and donk gets
in raising war with a lower pair. gg 1st hand.

what kind of experience did you have with the russians?? i find no matter what game i play them in they have such an unorthodox way of playing it seems so -ev long term but they crush at it...i swear if you watch them at limit hold em they only play gutshots and crap pairs but they just seem to never guess wrong.

My freeroll experience is quite limited. Russians are often fearless and very aggressive which makes them tough opponents. High variance opponents.

hahah good one on the freeroll....i cant actually play mtt..but anyhow bud yeah they have such a line on some hands....they always seem to make the right plays with pot odds. definetly scary good some of the russian limit players on stars. not much for the hu sngs but i dont imagine they would be easy opponents.

I've played a lot of HU O8 in my day, but not too much in terms of S&G's. However, the same logic applies:

Don't bother chasing. Opponent is probably freerolling you with half locked up.

You have to be careful of not becoming a predictable nit, but generally NEVER chase a low (even the nut with some backup) if you have no chance at high. Now A gutterball with the nut-low draw is a whole different animal and can be played almost always.

I disagree with this unless there are three low card on the board or a straight or flush possibility. I would muck a hand like 2366 on a 267 flop against most players

Heads up hands like 4578 can be pretty strong especially with suits, as long as you have 2-to-a-wheel you're usually ok playing it heads-up

So now where playing Pot Limit eh this is probably the worst poker format other than Limit Omaha High. Limit O8 is far more profitable. There are only a few people that have figured out PLO8 and they don't share much.

that zoom poker is freak-en nuts hands per hr for one table must be very high, i don't think there is zoom omaha tables?
