Not sure when it's aired anywhere else but was released in the UK a few days back and earning reviews I've not witnessed in a while.

Described as Christopher Nolan's "finest masterpiece". That's some serious high praise considering his previous work.

War movies can be great.......but.....it's a little like going to Titanic(not going to happen). You know the story.

Growing up I watched the World at War series on PBS narrated by Sir Laurence Oliver and years later bought the full DVD set during a pledge drive.

No movie could compare.

To date one of the greatest moments of WW2.. Had it not been for those civilians risking their lives against the Krauts it might have caused the war to end right then and there..No way could the Allies have come back from losing that many troops even with US involvement.. It would've left the Brits with nobody to reroute the fight to Africa and eventually Operation Overload.

Disagree. Even if the Wehrmacht has stormed onto England shores later in the year, the British would *never* have surrendered. And Hitler still would have strategically blundered by invading the Soviet Union, and it would have taken the Allies longer to challenging the Axis powers in North Africa, but eventually, those Nazi assholes would be crushed. Guaranteed!
