Attention BGC: Regarding Hair Band Week

Props to you for including the underrated "18 and Life" by Skid Row (which may or may not be in reference to a real incident in the late '80s), but I need to suggest some changes.

- Change Cinderella's "Nobody's Fool" to "Don't Know What You've Got 'Til It's Gone"

- Drop the second Guns n Roses song "Patience", and just leave "Paradise City"

- Add Damn Yankees' "High Enough"

- Add Firehouse's "Don't Treat Me Bad"

- Add Poison's "Talk Dirty to Me"

- Drop Slaughter's "Fly to the Angels"

Those are all good songs and they were all considered. I decided on the ones that I felt most resembled things I would say if I was in their shoes, or things people taunting me would say if they were in their shoes. They also had to sound good. I will listen to yours though again after I get out of this ice bath.

Done. It is now Hair Band Month. Glad you didn't have me get rid of Warrant or change it to Cherry Pie. I had no attachment to Slaughter so that was fine. Also a shame I didn't have Poison on there because I believe that was first hand-me-down tape I had unless it was Beastie Boys License to Ill. I think my brother had every single one of these tapes plus like 10-15 more and then he left for college and they were gone except that Poison one that he was sick of and Beastie Boys. I would have had no clue Skid Roe was obscure because I could only judge by what he played. I would have totally believed Warrant was obscure or at least the song I picked and I have no clue if I was a gay little kid or what but I seem to always remember asking him to play that one song Lol. It's hilarious how wrong I was on a lot of the lyrics that I would have told anyone I knew 100 percent back then.

Edit: Holy shit good call on Firehouse "Don't Treat me Bad."

Also, GnR does not belong at all. While they looked the part in the late 80's, they were not hair metal.

Honestly I've heard the name David Coverdale but I didn't know who he was lead singer for. The only reason I even know who Tawny Kataen is because she was the wife of a pitcher I think for the California Angels and she was in Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue couples edition. And honestly I could be wrong about that too. I'm not into these songs for trivial reasons.

Yes, you are correct. She was married to Chuck Finley, a pitcher for the Angels, but they got divorced after she attacked him with her high-heeled shoe.

BTW, I already edited that it was Deep Purple & not Black Sabbath. He replaced Ian Gillan who coincidentally replaced Ronnie James Dio in Black Sabbath who had replaced Ozzy. Wacky times.
