If he legitimately thinks he would have a legit chance against Conner in a UFC cage he's either punch drunk or high. That was just part of the show. Floyd knows damn well he's not fighting in a cage. And no one should expect him to. McGregor was the one that called out Mayweather.
Mayweather would get torched by any legit mma fighter in a cage. Similar to how Conor is going to get annihilated in this fight.
If Conor could have been a great boxer, he'd be just that. He isn't, because he can't be. And that's nothing to be ashamed of. He's still a really good mma fighter.

Conor can be young, and he can be hungry. But he can't be a top professional boxer in 8 weeks.
It'd be different if he were fighting someone in the top 25-50 range. Then he might have a shot.
