Hypothetical American civil war - which side wins?

You hear loose talk of the current political divide potentially turning into mass violence, or even all out civil war.

So if the unthinkable did happen, how would it play out?

I've literally got no idea as nobody has dared even talk about where battle lines would be drawn and who would be on what side etc.

I mean this isn't 1861 with long rifles and Musketoons. We're talking modern day weaponry here... From cruise missiles to stealth fighter jets... And if parts of the military did go up against each other, and it spiralled out of control, well we've seen what damage it could create to infrastructure (see Syria)

But who would end up in the newly built White House?

The only thing people gonna be angry enough to fight about is being hungry and underemployed. The only question is when.

When does the economic divide become great enough? Another generation? What I have learned is change accelerates. Shit happens sooner than you always think. Who woulda believed Trump, right? But it's here - just a small step. And as he ain't gonna realize any particular change in anybody's life except digital oligopolies. Something more dramatic will be in store. But Trump hints at the possibilities.

My personal dream is to live in Monaco. Serious as a heart attack. Haralobob did it right.

Monarchies are the way to go. Always have been. No offense, but the Grimaldis are just better looking than the Windsors. I do see an effort on your side to improve the DNA but there's a lot to overcome.

I can't stop about the divide and how obvious the trend is. It's something I'm actually serious about. Don't mistake this for caring but rather a recognition about the inevitability of it all.

Simon Properties (mall operator) recognized that catering to the 1%'ers - not the unwashed declining middle class - is the way to go. The wealthy still shop at malls. They aren't looking to save money on shoes and iPad accessories. Simon Properties stock has never been higher (popped another $3.50 Friday).

The demise of the middle class is a trend and they got on board.

Through some luck and understanding of my geography I have a business that caters to the wealthy. If an employee discusses a value proposition for our customers they are given a written warning. This is actually not a joke. There is a written warning that is pulled out during their annual review. There are some laughs but the message is revisited. I have a manila pendaflex folder for every employee and I jot notes almost daily. My reviews are fucking god.

Of course, when the stock bubble collapses I am prolly fucked. 9/11 & the housing crisis I was on the ropes. I have a go bag packed and the land will make a great location for public housing.
