Only 3 people have been assigned to my table so far, including me. The others will be assigned tomorrow.

    Fedor Truntsev SERGOEV POSAD, RU 228,100 Amazon / 144 / 1
    Todd Witteles LAS VEGAS, NV, US 165,100 Amazon / 144 / 3
    David Ritter AUSTIN, TX, US 64,400 Amazon / 144 / 8

So it looks like I'm with a Russian pro with a fairly big stack (who I have position on, fortunately), and a semi-shortstack named David Ritter.

David Ritter is best known as "cymbal guy", as he brings a pair of large cymbals, and smacks them together as each level starts. Somehow they allow this, even though it's very loud.

Druff: Good going and good luck with the rest of the Main. I do want to proffer an observation, though.

It seems you perform better at tournament poker when you are not burdened with the concerns of investors buying pieces of your action.

If you took strictly your returns on the Main Event alone where no investors are allowed, aren't you in the black when you account for your buy-ins and the 2010 Main Event deep run you had?

If you look at all the combined non-Main Event WSOP tourneys where people were allowed to buy a piece of you, aren't you in the red for that situation even though you enter a lot of LHE events?

This is even more telling because NLHE is not your main game, and the factor of your being unburdened by the concerns of investors appears even more powerful than being outside your LHE expertise in the main.

They finally posted the Day 2C info.

1549 out of the 3300 Day 2C players survived.

This means that a total of 2572 players are returning for Day 3, which combines all flights.

42.14% of these players will cash a minimum of $15,000.

Here are the people at my table. I'm in Seat 3 with 165,100.

    Fedor Truntsev SERGOEV POSAD, RU 228,100 Amazon / 144 / 1
Russian player with 4 cashes in this WSOP. Has never cashed above $17,000 in anything. Likely solid.

    Robert Dunn Abbotsford, BC, CA 217,000 Amazon / 144 / 2
Canadian player with one small WSOP cash lifetime. Possible amateur, but has pretty good stack.

    Michael Nelson Kirkland, WA, US 29,600 Amazon / 144 / 4
Two small cashes in the WSOP lifetime. Short stack so likely won't be around long. Hopefully the guy who replaces him isn't good, because they will have direct position on me/

    Lee Taylor GB 157,400 Amazon / 144 / 5
There are two Lee Taylors from England, so I don't know which one this is. Both were in Vegas since June 30th at the Rio! Neither seems to play very high buyin tournaments. I'm guessing he's fairly solid either way.

    Jiqiang Tong Wilton, CT, US 58,600 Amazon / 144 / 6
Johnny-Come-Lately poker player from Connecticut who just started cashing in late 2015. Played mostly sub-$1000 events, but hit a $40k score this summer in a non-Rio tournament, and likely took some of that money to play the Main. Probably decent player, but may be nervous about playing a $10k buyin. Fairly short stack.

    Jason Daly Houston, TX, US 224,700 Amazon / 144 / 7
Four lifetime cashes total (not just WSOP) since 2012. Seems to be a recreational player from what I can see.

    David Ritter AUSTIN, TX, US 64,400 Amazon / 144 / 8
Can't find much info on him, aside from being the "cymbal guy, as previously mentioned. Fairly short stack.

    Alpheus Chan RICHMOND, BC, CA 35,700 Amazon / 144 / 9
Cashed the Main in 655th last year. He only has 35k this year, so he will need to get lucky to cash again. Not that many cashes overall. Seems to be a recreational player.

Overall impression: Happy with this table draw. I see a few likely recreational players, no super-accomplished pros, and no stacks above 228k. There are 4 fairly short stacks at the table, so we ill probably see a few players bust fairly quickly.

Table will likely break near the end of the day. I'm guessing they will break Brasilia first, then Pavilion, and then start at Amazon 184 and proceed downward.

However, there will be only 1296 players left when we are the next to break, so this should be near the end of the day (but before the money hits!)

Average stack is 140400. I'm about 17.5% above average.

Cymbal guy David Ritter just offered $20 to another player who shoved on him to "show" after the hand. Offer accepted. Was a bluff. #pfa73

Quick somebody notify Thor.. Apparently Loki is playing the WSOP ME.. Its obvious how else to explain the whole cymbals thing..
