    $12 is a bit steep but to say what they ordered is glorified A-1 is probably underselling the quality of the sauce provided tremendously.

    Spices/Rubs/Sauces make many forms of food. I wouldn't argue if you said a good steak needs no sauce.

    I use the sauces for the other stuff like potato/veg. A properly cooked steak doesn't need sauce.

    Steak sauce makes up for cheaper cuts of meat and is decent on a burger.

    Good cuts = salt & pepper or some seasoning the place uses is all you need.

    A while back someone told me to try steak sauce on cheese bread and I thought it sounded weird but but it's actually decent. It's not something I'd eat all the time but was pleasantly surprised.

    The "you get what you pay for" is fine but a lot of addons in various places in Vegas are completely ridiculous.

    I am not a big steak sauce guy, but when it's a good, custom-made sauce in a fine restaurant, it can really enhance the steak, even a good one.
