At least it's not that easy to just search out someone you know on Tinder.
It was incredibly easy to do this on dating sites. You would just enter search parameters filtered by ZIP code, height, weight, and age, and you would almost always find the person you're looking for (provided they were on there).
I remember I would be talking to girls who would say they wondered if their ex was using those sites, and I said, "Give me his height, weight, age, and city, and I'll find him", and then I located the guy within like 3 minutes. Then we would LOL at the dude's profile.
Like you, I wouldn't want people I know gawking at me on dating sites.
This definitely happens but seeing someone you know on tinder isn't as bad as say something like POF. I'd probably start to lose respect at that point lol. I'd imagine more females are concerned with being noticed on these apps than any guy would be.
This is how I literally use tinder, swipe like til I run out of swipes close the app and wait for mutual likes. Then weed out girls I don't care for in the mutual likes andddd rinse repeat til I find something I would want.
Naw, it's not a big deal, as a matter of fact on tinder it even shows if you guys have mutual facebook friends. Girls who might be embarassed just play it off like oh just looking for friends, blah blah, and the social contract is you just sort of go, oh ok. But it's just as common as sayng, oh I date.
The murder thing is pretty rare. Some girls won't meetup except in a public place at first, but I've always got them to come straight to my place. It's a matter of just getting them comfortable/excited over message.
I'm telling you, it's those zero guys that mess up the average. For example, at my last job, there was one guy who had never had sex and was in his late 30s. The most action he got was he texted his hs friend all the time and went to movies.
Another guy was a shutin, who just went to work, played videogames, and watched anime. Late 20s, virgin.
That's like two out of 5 guys that worked at the place, and the other dudes weren't getting laid much either. These guys are everywhere, you just don't really notice them.
