    Kings Lounge at WSOP

I visited it yesterday. Tried to get into the very popular 75/150 O8 game, but it was full, and I didn't have the patience to wait.

They transformed a portion of the Pavilion Room into this high limit game "lounge".

I had heard it was elevated, but it's not. It's just walled off somewhat, but anyone can walk in and through the room if they want.

It's laid out pretty nicely and you almost forget you're at the cattle-herd like WSOP when you're in there. They even have a separate bar and TVs in there.

Of course, this is sponsored by an outside (European) company, so that's where all the money came from to make this thing.

WSOP employees are the ones working there, including former NWPer "veeRob" (remember him?)

Anyway, I like it. It's much nicer playing in there than in the usual WSOP cash game section. Might go down there after radio if I have the energy.

Remember that as a Seven Star you go to the top of all lists if you want... Unless Kings Room has it's own rules.
Take me down to the Parvati City where the reps are green and the girls are pretty. Take me home.

STILL the most posts deleted. STILL the FBI is harassing me. STILL double the reputation of any poster. STILL quadruple the rep/post ratio of any poster. STILL BGC.

how is that 75/150 O8 game? if you don't want it out on the internet I understand...never going to play it since its at an 'evil empire' property, but was just curious...played in the 30/60 Bellagio game a few years ago and didn't think it was all that tough of a game...

So my experience playing at the Kings Lounge was not nearly as good as my first impression.

First off, everything is really disorganized there. All the employees seem confused.

There are no chip runners -- or at least there weren't any at the time I played. And you can't play with cash. So if you're running bad and getting low on chips, you literally have to get up from the table, stand in line, and buy more chips.

    Awful.

Then there's the matter of the cashier. At Bellagio, the cashiers are lightning fast, and everything proceeds efficiently. Here, everything drags. If there's 2 people ahead of you in line, you're going to wait an eternity.

Once you're up there, they are extremely slow, and they have to verify/count the money a million times before giving you chips.

This all would have been tolerable if I won, but I ran horribly in my short time in the 75/150 O8 (which has an annoying kill which kicks it up to $100 when someone wins a full pot), and literally lost every hand I played. I was also the tighest person at the table, and dealt trash after trash, so I also blinded down a lot.

Overall, game itself was ok. Loose players, but they also weren't clueless.

Game broke because it was a must-move. I became 4th on the list, and said fuck it and got up and left.

    Oh, and you'll love this.

Since the Rio has no food service late at night, the only way people can order food is via one of those cheap all-night Italian places west of the strip. They hand you a menu of that place, and call for delivery. But it takes 60-90 minutes to come (lol).

I asked, "What if I'm not playing in 90 minutes?"

The floorman responded, "Just order the chicken parmigiana, that's the most popular dish, and someone here will always be willing to take it."

You don't prepay, so I gave it a shot.

Sure enough, I wasn't there for 90 minutes longer, so I just got up and left, and presumably someone else ate and paid for my chicken.

You can't make this shit up.

Wait, they literally advertised that one of the perks of sitting at this place was that you didn't have to go back to the cages to get more chips, that a chip runner was provided for these tables exclusively. They also said wait lines for cashouts would be better for Kings Lounge players as the section has its own cashier and one wouldn't have to go in line with the rest of the plebs. I will say I found cashiers a bit "green" and really understaffed during my time there. I was buying into a daily deepstack on a Sunday and there were unoccupied cashier windows in the middle of the day. Unacceptable.

You can count on WSOP fail every year. You think they possibly top how bad shit runs, and then they just go over the top with some bullshit #smh

Went there today and asked some questions.

I was told that chip runners were discontinued there 2 years ago (in all of the WSOP) because people were using them to evade CTR requirements. So Gaming took away the WSOP's ability to have chip runners!

Also, I asked if Seven Stars members get to skip to the front of the wait list. They do!

However, they do not get priority over broken game players, nor do they get priority if they are in a broken game themselves.

Silly that a casino don't have late night food options, especially during the WSOP.

Outside of it your buy Jimmy Fricke can help you out.
