    BTC selling

Curious, I am obviously on exchanges etc but never sold any coins private or via localbitcoins or over a forum etc.

I was thinking of selling 2-3 BTC, what type of premium can I add and what price quote is most commonly used by buyers?

I see some poker people charging 4-5 % over which is LOL ( I never pay more than face), most people use the bitstamp rate for what they sell

Some people might pay this but some people might also pay 20k for a car worth 15k etc..

Easiest thing to do is sell at face to a reputable buyer and move on IMO, makes the process easier

Wait until the value of one Bitcoin hits $1 million...then sell.

If you want to sell at face value just get a bitpay card, and send the coins there. If you want to charge a premium you can get a nice premium on local bitcoins, with the premium depending on what method you use. Last I checked on there, which was months ago, i looked at the offers people made to buy your bitcoins, and there were people who were offering to buy bitcoins with a bank wire 4-5% above the market rate. I thought that was interesting. I always assumed that the people who post offers to buy, posted offers at less than market rate. I guess they were probably pro bitcoin traders who were selling more than they could buy per week from coinbase or whatever other sites sell them.

First of all, why are you considering doing it in person, versus selling it to some 19 year pimp in Cyprus for a 6% hit through an exchange.

I am not sure what part of that is most crucial to the 6 points, pimp or 19?

Probably pimp. They are a sleazy breed, but they understand the concept of repeat-customer when pricing their products.
