Hello Canucks and others who have vacationed in Canada...
I have decided to take a summer trip to Canada.
I've been to Vancouver and southwest BC. I've been to Toronto, Quebec, and some of the island provinces/territories in the east. I've been to Niagara falls.
Where I have little-to-no experience is inland Canada -- namely eastern BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba.
I realize that's a big area.
Would like some ideas for good vacation spots and scenic drives.
Anywhere with beautiful hiking areas would be nice, provided it's not too long or difficult (Ben will be there, and he's probably good for about 4 miles max.)
Off-the-beaten-path stuff would be especially cool, provided it's not too hard to get there (meaning I can drive a regular car there).
Do not want "touristy" stuff for the most part, though national/provincial parks would be good.
Please post your suggestions here. No trolling or junk posts.
Canadian $ has been holding for a long time in the 74c range, so this is a good time to travel there.
