nice, but it can't yet beat up a bitchy, troublemaker passenger...

Bests the best, then goes out on top. Alphago moves on to bigger, other things.

Announcement on Thursday but tl;dr the cozy relationship between NASA and Google allowed the two to leverage the latters AI program to analyze output from the formers Kepler program.
And, predictably, its resulting in some gang shit.

speaking of official stars, this is rad as shit.
basically a google AI goon was like "ok neural nets are good when there is too much data for humans to process... hmmmm..." so he ends up reading about keplar and how the biggest bottleneck is processing all this data that technology is now very very good at producing.
he reached out, they linked up, and bobs yr uncle; google AI sorted through the data and discovered an 8 planet solar system by analyzing super faint data that humans would have never caught.
so yeah very very very real talk; if we are talking about end-game with AI, finding a remotely habitable planet is now totally in play, and right under it is discovering life on other planets.

france is basically designating AI related companies as so sensitive to state interests that the government would need to vet any potential acquisition.
