Jimmy Cliff is a true reggae legend. He starred in the movie The Harder They Come in 1972 and did most of the soundtrack. It was the first time that most Americans had heard any Jamaican music.

The entire movie of The Harder They Come is on YouTube. It's a great story about the many types of exploitation. Since it was the first movie produced in Jamaica, even the bad guys are black.
