Just an FYI to those in Vegas.....I know there have been some threads on these machines, don't know if any of them were about the ones at Luxor. A friend of mine is in Vegas now and reported he won $1750 off it. He described it's play as, "like a 5 year old with Mitt Romney money." He said he is ready to pass out because he couldn't get himself to leave the machine it was too easy.
Most heads up limit pros believe the bot is very tough. But yah, it seems like it never folds so if you run good against it you will make a lot of money, but if you run bad against it, it can get ugly. And lol, he can go to bed, it isn't like playing a donk online. The bot will always be there when he wakes up.
Also it plays the same at every casino at every limit.
Sklansky had a thread on 4 about it. He talked with one of the people that got the machine into the casino's and said the bot does not react at all to how you play but that it has multiple playing styles that it rotates through. You never know which personality you are playing and you don't know when it switches. No rake and the fact the machine is still there tells you something. If it was easily exploitable there would be gangs of Chinese kids on them all day and night long until the casino pulled them out.
It was probably just playing above your friend's head.

It is true that it usually makes light calldowns (which is common for bots), but it also made some odd laydowns that scared me, such as laying down bottom pair in a spot where I thought it was very hard to do so.
In general, I know there are some really top-top limit HU players who would spend all day and all night there if they could play 40-80 heads up against an inferior opponent that would never quit them. Since the machines tend to be empty, apparently most people that have tried have eventually lost their winnings back.
I might try it again for fun, but I don't think I'll play it for any "real" limits.
I gave this thing a couple shots, my first session was laughable in the beginning, I just crushed the thing then basically spewed it all back quickly. Basically I broke even, I think I left up a few bets.
I played it one other time and basically right off the bat I got demolished and it didn't stop.
PFA should stake Yebsite to play it.
Some guys in the 2p2 thread posted some pictures of some huge laydowns it made. Could dig them up but I think I remember one was AQ on AKK flop. Every one in that thread of course it was beat. My guess is it probably does that in those spots were it is usually beat when 3bet just enough that it can get away with it.
Seems to me like the people that have ran good against it say it is definitely beatable, the people that have ran bad against it say it definitely isn't, and most people think it is probably beatable for a very small winrate plus comps.
I'm assuming that since there's no rake, most places don't give you shit for comp points on it. I enjoy playing it every once in a while at Red Rock or Sun Coast.
From what I know of the Nevada Gaming Commission, it is totally a legit AI that does not use the knowledge of your cards or the upcoming deck to make its decisions. They specifically picked heads up limit because it plays to the strengths of a neural network. I have won a decent amount of money (for me) on some real suck outs.
Are you saying it pays off suck outs a high % of time or it's defending sometimes?
