Have any of you ever played the Ocean Club Golf course on Paradise Island?

If so, you know what the homes look like.

I know of several mid to high level Bahamian "officials" that have houses there.

With the right connections a reasonably intelligent Bahamian lives like a King.

couple of tidbits not in that article:

- at least one guest made a scene with security, who responded by whipping that ass in front of the other guests then taking his wallet for good measure

- some of the people lucky enough to get their own tents wandered off the grounds to forage for food and were denied re-entrance, despite literally everything they came with being in their tents (cameras, laptops, documents, etc)

- luggage and such arrived in the back of a truck well after sundown and was literally dumped onto the ground in a pile in the dead of night

Yet another reason to not set foot in that dump of a country. I'm sure that the festival organizers should take a lot of the blame but the fact that the infrastructure was not in place is not surprising. The work ethic in the Bahamas has to be one of the worst I've ever encountered and my interaction was mostly at tourist resorts. I can't imagine the level of incometency amongst local labor.

Until the two PCA horror stories came out on 2+2 I had no idea that the Bahamas is one of the most dangerous nations in the Caribbean. I can't believe that major ship liners still even port in Nassau.

On March 14, I flew from Miami to the island of Great Exuma to get the planning started. I was excited, at least at first. Flying in, the water looked beautiful — but I was almost immediately warned not to go near it because of a rampant shark problem. That was an omen I regrettably missed.

. The festival was supposed to be a luxury music retreat where elite millennials could mingle with “influencers” and models. Tickets cost between $1K and $125K, gourmet food and accommodations were promised.

I wish some of them were actually murdered in cold blood.

I cannot explain how or why the bros running this festival ignored every warning sign they were given along the way. The writing was on the wall. I saw it firsthand six weeks ago. They overlooked so many very basic things. And baby, they forgot to make me sign an NDA.

Wow. Not quite sure what to say. I've been to the Exumas several times. The water there is the prettiest I have ever seen. And I'm well traveled. Truly crystal clear like a bath tub. The island is little different than any other limestone type islands without mountains, hence the clear water. Anyway, they are not positioned next to Sandals - formerly Four Seasons. There is little crime on any of the islands other than New Providence, and even then usually just on the idiots who venture too far off the beaten path.

As for the dipshits paying this much for such an "experience," they should consult with Sanlmar about the cost of such valuable life lessons.
