I think people just don't find the smaller games as enthralling as the nosebleed stakes we used to see on TV.

i can watch larry flynt's 10k/20k stud game from sunup to sundown but i watched that twitch for a solid hour and did not see half the table play a single hand, and the biggest tank moment was some oaf who had got cold decked down to vapors deciding whether or not to call to a 4 bet shove with 72o.

Stud8 used to be easiest buck on Stars. 10/20 was a dream and 30/60 was soft too.
Now it's become the nittiest game on the whole site. Even low as 3/6 & 2/4. If they aren't solid, they're at least abc-nitty.
Still plenty of great spots left on Stars, but Stud8 has sadly died a death.
fwiw i once wrote a stud bot framework like not kidding in 2004 or something so draw your own conclusions regarding whose at those tables now.
pro tip: any game where you see that much of the shoe is ripe for automated exploitation.

Correct. Stud games were always the chattiest tables around. Strategy was hotly debated by all. Bad play was greatly frowned upon after beats were laid. Even players not in the hand would display their utter disgust towards the many fish who dared step out of line.
All of that has now vanished partly because of our robotic friends.
