The thing is a guy his size and with his strength would put up a hell of a fight. If he was murdered either multiple people had to do it and there would presumably be other injuries, or he was drugged and multiple people had to set it up.
He was in solitary tho, and the writing could be done. It wasn't like the authorities indicated the writing was perfect.
