Once Disney obtained Lucas Films I had no idea what there direction of the series would be.
Apparently it's put out as many films as possible and make tons of cash.
The Rogue One film and now the Han Solo project.
Hopefully the Last Jedi is an improvement on the Force Awakens. The fact that a unproven force sensitive Rey was able to take on and defeat Kylo Ren whom is is a Knight of Ren is laughable.
Qui-Gon was defeated by the Sith Lord Darth Maul.
Obi-won and Anakin were defeated by the Sith Lord Darth Tyranaus (Count Dooku) and had to be saved by Yoda who barely came to a draw with him.
Mace Mindu and 3 jedi knights, with Mace being arguably the best Jedi Swordsman, was defeated by The Emperor (Darts Sidious )with help from Anakin
But a non trained force Sensitive Rey defeats Kylo? Yeah ok.
There are other Jedi in hiding other than Luke. Order 66 didn't kill them all, there are surely others. Hopefully that is shown in the Last Jedi.

I liked Rogue One just fine but its clearly an entire movie hanging off George Lucas' insecurity about the "so they spent a gazillion space dollars on this orbital doomsday device but left a manhole cover open with access to its reactor" meme.
But really even so, decent movie.

It was a decent movie. I just think Disney is about to saturate the Start Wars name witt movies. I enjoy Star Wars because they space out the films and disn't shove movie after movie into ur face.

For me they fall apart in direct proportion to the amount of child actors and CGI involved.
Also they need to stop animating corpses of dead actors, and I mean fucking immediately.

Kylo Ren had just been shot by Chewbacca, so he wasn't anywhere close to 100%. Also, he's not trying to kill her because he wants to recruit her as his apprentice.
Carrie Fisher had completed her filming for Episode 8 and they've said that they will not use CGI to reanimate her in 9. But It's possible that they'll use CGI to paste actual footage of her into new scenes.
Rain Johnson revealed recently that Fisher worked with him to punch up the script.

Kind of bullshit if you ask me. I had tickets for the midnight TFA showing as it's all that was available when the sale happened. Come to find out they started showing the movie at 7PM every 30-45 min. I ended up sneaking into the 10pm show.
