Best QB in the NFL (current)

    Best Quarterback in the NFL?

    Curious for PFA consensus.

Notre Dame is playing at Boston College, which has a first down with three minutes left in the half.

A Boston College fan sets off a firecracker, and Notre Dame, thinking it’s the end of the half, runs off the field.

Three plays later, Boston College punts.

I despise the Cheatriots and Brady but seriously how is this a question.. Brady has 5 fucking rings more then any QB in SB history and he's gonna be a first ballot HOF in Canton when he finally retires with possibly 1 more ring even. Patriots are to football what the Empire is to StarWars.. Bellichek is the Emperor and Brady is Darth Vader.. (one could argue Kraft is the Emperor and Bellichek is Darth Vader but then who the fuck does that make Brady?? although I am convinced Gronk is JarJar )

Aaron Rodgers is definitely great, but we're talking about arguably the best QB in the history of the game with Brady. IMO it's really not even close. The guy has been winning Superbowls with sub par receivers and running backs for years. If he had the receiving core Rodgers has he would have the undefeated record most likely as well.

Brady had some shit casts early on, but since 2007 his offensive weapons have been better than what Rodgers has had.

Brady has the history obviously, but Rodgers is simply better at playing QB. You can find 30-50 throws a year that Rodgers makes that literally no other QB in the league could pull off.

Belichick has been a value/Moneyball guy forever. Trading 1st round draft choices for a bucket of 3's. Trading star players and sending Boston into a shitstorm on sports talk radio.

"Why doesn't he ever get star receivers to compelement Brady?"

On paper you are always feeling the Pats are over rated. There is zero doubt the complementary players have been inferior. That's where "in Bill we trust" came from. We don't get it on paper. They suck, lol. You just surrender to the better intellect in Brady & Belichick.

So what is this thread about? Best gifted athlete? Rodgers can throw the ball out of the stadium? Brady is not Aaron Rodgers. He isn't a tremendous athlete.

So decide what a quarterback is.

Brady is a Moneyball Belichick guy. Belichick was watching game film when he was 7 years old with his father in Annapolis. Was watching a 30 for 30 about Michael Vick. Maybe the most naturally gifted player to ever set foot on turf. He joked with his ex coach on film that all the game film CD's were left on the front seat of his car.

Belichick taught Brady and both have lived in the film room. They know the game better than anyone today.

So who gives a shit that Rodgers is more physically talented? Brady is 40 yrs old. With a shiny new ring. It ain't about the arm. It's the head.

Belichick and Brady are making adjustments 4 plays into the game. The others adjust at half time. They get a early read on game flow. They are just smarter. Brady has a natural gift for the strategy of football as a military general uses strategy.

Guy is smart and consistent with just enough physical skills to execute.

Brady wins and the guys with the cannon arms - well, not so much.

It's hilarious that we as a society think everyone can be a dr, a lawyer, an engineer. Some people are just fucking stupid. Why can't we just accept that?
