Passenger KO'd then dragged from plane in barbaric country

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ted-plane.html

Flight was overbook by United Airlines but they needed to make space for 4 of their employees.

Passenger they twatted before dragging him away was a doctor who had patients he needed to see the following day.

It was their fuck up and there's zero justification for this. Why people still travel to America I have no idea.

If he really is a doctor and had patients to see the next day, what's the over/under on the windfall?

    $10 milly?

    Who does he claim against?

United said in a statement that the overbooking was on them, but not the way the removal was handled. Speak to law enforcement about that they said.

Police (or whoever they were) could say they were following the letter of the law, and him getting knocked out during the struggle was purely accidental.

Hope you're right tho and poor bastard does get paid.

If it was Canada or Europe he likely doesn't get much or anything.

This is the US he'll sue everyone from the airline to the cops to the airplane manufacturer (blaming the hard arm rests for hurting his head?)

Obviously there was a better way to handle it, but this is another instance of a modern day culture where people do not respect the commands of police officers. All he had to do was get out of his seat, leave the plane, and explain his situation rationally to them not squeal like a three year old. I would assume that he is a smart man since he is supposedly a doctor so he should know that there is zero percent chance that his tantrum is changing the outcome. These are the circumstances where you comply with the orders and address the issue through legal channels.

This sort of sums up where we are on personal liberties these days. Comply or get beat down. United should have kept raising the price for volunteers, there is some price people would have jumped at.
Something like this rises to a civil matter i.e. ban the guy from United flights in the future or something. Can you imagine your kids watching this? Those coppers should have showed some restraint. Since when are they enforcers of United Airlines ticket policy overbooking. grrrrr. add: the LOL United corporate speak in response is pretty funny.https://www.dnainfo.com/chicago/2017...at-ohare-video

He probably tried arguing his case from his seat. Police in the US are nothing but a shower of cunts as far as I can see!

Hope this man takes them all to the cleaners. It's a fucking joke that airlines are allowed to overbook flights anyway. Shower of fucks!!

Do you know what an unjust order is? Do you just cuck for police everytime you encounter em? Police should have fucked off. My ticket my seat.

It sucks but if you are asked to leave plane you do it. Guy repeatedly refused and even after being dragged off he ran back to try and get inside the plane.

Overbooking sucks and should be illegal. But for Christ sake don't fuck around with airport security...Airport staff can ask you to deboard for any reason. You have no rights to remain onboard

The difference between first class and couch these days is ridiculous. In couch you are basically just cattle the airline needs to bring from point A to point B without you dying.

It is not an unjust order. Much like a casino, the airlines have the right to remove people from their planes. The only caveat is that they must first solicit volunteers to take some sort of compensation and give up their seat.

As I said before, it could have been handled better. There is no reason for a grown ass man to squeal like Opie on the episode of Andy Griffith where he learns to through a tantrum from his friend.

your attitude would land you right where that guy landed. in a holding cell.

it's like the other week when druff told that story about him getting out of line on that plane with the passengers waiting for the bathroom. these days, post 9/11 you gotta stfu and do what they say. only an idiot gets a charge over something so fucking stupid.

it will be interesting to find out if this guy was actually a doctor. that could really mean something tbh.

I have been flying a lot these days but hadn't for a while so I lost all status. So I have been buying first just to reduce the hassle. For the most part it's a couple of hundred buck extra. Well worth it not to be cattle.

People get treated unfairly everyday. But there's ways to handle it. This is never going to end well for him once it got to that point. Agree or disagree, doesn't matter. Cops are telling you to get off the plane, then get off the damn plane.
It's hilarious that we as a society think everyone can be a dr, a lawyer, an engineer. Some people are just fucking stupid. Why can't we just accept that?
