"Birds born in a cage think flying is an illness." - Alejandro Jodorowsky
"America is not so much a nightmare as a non-dream. The American non-dream is precisely a move to wipe the dream out of existence. The dream is a spontaneous happening and therefore dangerous to a control system set up by the non-dreamers." -- William S. Burroughs
How did Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino make $8.9 million from 2010 to 2012?
The Jersey Shore TV reality show?
Hair Gel?
A book about tanning tips?
I am sure he is guilty , but this also seems like a case of the government wanting this guy in jail. He is a perfect person to make an example of. He comes across as arrogant, living beyond his means, and most important he is a celebrity. It is bad enough if you are an average Joe is cheating on his taxes, but the IRS has always had a hard on for celebrities for obvious reasons.
What i always found unfair though (even in cases like this) is just how long the government drags this out for. We are talking about money he made 7 years ago and they are now just adding more charges related to those years. Probably what happened is that his brother Marc pissed them off with the obstruction and they said fuck it we will just add more charges to your brothers case as well.

With the italians, it's a real greaseball thing to do...
"Druff would suck his own dick if it were long enough"- Brandon "drexel" Gerson
"ann coulter literally has more common sense than pfa."-Sonatine
"Real grinders supports poker fraud"- Ray Davis
"DRILLED HER GOOD"- HONGKONGER
You know who else the IRS has a hard-on for?
Poker Players.
You know damn well that Antonio Esfandiari is still living off the $18 million ($5 million?) that he won way back in 2012.
Assuming he told the IRS that certain foreigners were backers and he held less of a percentage, Antonio may have paid very little in taxes.
Mike Matusow has won $8.7 million in lifetime earnings but cashed for only about $30,000 last year.
If you go to the WSOP, you might see Mike with more money in front of him than he made in the past 5 years.
If Phil Hellmuth wants to save money stop backing losers like Matusow.
