Anyone here the authority on IPTV?

The only TV service I pay for is netflix. I have a few shows I like to keep up today with and watch them on tvonline.tw. I play them on my computer and use chromecast to stream it to my TV.

While goofing with my TV there was a "Top rated" app called Smart IPTV, looks like something I need to know about. I've pretty much figured out you need to find a channel list with stuff you like and upload it to your mac address. I've found a few US ones and have uploaded them. They are showing up on my tv but every time I try to open a channel I get "Failed to connect".

    Anyone mess with this stuff?

Did all the obvious. Channels show on my tv, even says what's on. Just says cannot connect when I try to watch any channel.

pony up ~10/month for a decent IPTV service.

Will come with about 500-1000 channels you don't watch, and the 10 you need.
