We have a fair number of Massholes here. In particular, I would be curious about China's feeling about this. China be movin to Vermont.

I have often said we will look back and remember this as the good old days. Currently no taxes, shitty light regulation, shitty Poker offering.

What is unique about Mass proposal is, well, it's Massachusetts. First state lottery. Non Indian casinos. Huge weed approval and gaysex is state sponsored.

i wasn't reading the chat but i guess people think its crazy that I don't have a bank account.

it's simple:

I own my car outright, bought it with cash.

I pay my utilities at a currency exchange that's a direct agent, meaning it goes directly in. Yes, there's a fee, but at least this fee is justified, as If i wanted to, I could go wait at the electric company office and pay it for free as well. I could also do it online, WITH a visa gift card, which i purchased in cash.

I pay my rent in cash or a money order I can purchase for as little as .25 cents. A bank charges a lot more. The only times I've needed a money order with the current landlord has been zero, because I always see him and pay him. We hang out and get high. go figure. But before this landlord, every other one has been with a money order. I've never paid more than 75 cents for one in my life.

My work pays me in check, and I take that check to their bank and cash it. Sometimes for free, but sometimes it does cost me a few dollars, which is nothing compared to if I took it to a currency exchange. My family was in the business, so at one time I knew other owners who'd cash them for 1%. that's a pretty low fee considering it's cash in my hand right there (most charge upwards of 2%)

It's simple: a LOT of people don't have bank accounts. Why? Bc they can't afford them, or they don't have good enoguh credit, or they just wanna hide their fuckin money where no one can find it.

You know who else didn't have a bank account until well into his 30's? Stu Ungar. He followed his dad's footsteps, and hid his money in safe deposit boxes. that's one place the fuckin' IRS can't go. Now, Stuey's reasoning for not having a bank is absurd these days (he thought if he couldn't go and get 50 grand at 3 in the morning then what was the use? store it in a casino, open 24/7) because this was before ATM's

but shit. Look at all the fees you rack up just having a bank account. $6 a month just to have it there? get fucked. And before anyone poits out all the fees I just said I pay up there when paying my bills, those fees are justified. I'm paying for a service that they offer that others don't. But banks charging me to have an account, that's more than fucking absurd. So absurd an tilting, that i waste money on other things that might cost me more in the long run than that $6. but still, my ethics are that banks are fucking unethical, and i'm not having it.

It's like i'm a new school Abbey Hoffman, and I don't want my money anywhere some shit head with a government title can claim it under some dumb fucking civil foretiture law.


Oh....and I'm lazy. I can't fucking waste an hour of my day going down there and setting up a bank account. I'd rather do other things, like smoke pot, and play frisbee golf.

Just admit you don't have any money. Also, I believe most banks won't let you open a safety deposit box without a bank account either... but lol at you being able to afford the fee.
