The new season of the Ultimate Fighter starts tomorrow night on FX. I'm loving the idea that all of the fights this season will be live every Friday night. The only downside I see so far is the constant presence of Urijah Faber's asshole chin on the screen

I can't wait for the premiere if only to see how they intend to pull off 16 live fights in 2 hours. Other than praying for early stoppages (2 round fights, 3rd sudden death round in past seasons, assume the same this time), the only thing I can think of is they have 2 cages ready so they save time between fights. Cage 1 fight ends, cage 2 begins in the next minute. Or else have like 2 hours available for possible overruns.

Either way, whatever they do, free live fights are always welcome.

Will be interesting for sure. I must say that after last Friday I am hooked on watching the 125lb guys fight. I love the nonstop blur of them going at it.

I think it's being advertised here in Canada as a 2.5 hour show but still.......
Can't really see how they will do the 16 fights live(your explanation would be as good as any)& assumed that part would be taped but the discussion & picking of the teams after the fact would be live.
I don't follow TUF all that closely due to my job but I love & follow MMA & the UFC in general.

the fight before. the guy only took the one punch that dropped him then grabbed the guy after he hit the ground. his eyes were clear on the replay he wasn't out of it
