Sometimes its easy to forget that North Korea is more than a series of shitty punch lines for millennial comedies.

Kim Jong Nam was the portly fuckup who tries to sneak into Disneyland in Japan on a bogus passport and got caught. He 'fell from favor' after that and lived in something like exile where he did not keep his mouth shut about the downsides of dynastic rule.

Welp, apparently he was in a Malaysian airport yesterday when a Korean appearing woman walked up to him, tossed a small towel over his head, and then jabbed him with a poison needle before running off with an accomplice.

He died shortly thereafter in the ambulance on his way to the hospital.

I'm sure it was all a big misunderstanding tho.

The interesting thing about Russian sanctions is that there is growing evidence that more and more of them are 'unsanctioned', eg mid-tier FSB employees taking things into their own hands.

Thats very different than the DPRK program of targeted assassinations and terrorist acts, all of which are by an 'action' branch of their military that exists for no other reason.

Anyway few days later 2 suited up North Koreans march in demanding they took it down. To which they kindly got told to fuck off.


Police got involved and made the press.
