2017 PFA Dead Pool interest thread

I ran these NWP/DD back in the day, I'm open to running another one this year. If you're interested please post here. If we get enough interest (say 10 people+) I'll run it. Contest would probably run 2/1/2017-12/31/2017 unless we get enough people and get it rolling before then. Please keep your trolling out of the thread. If I've missed where someone else is setting one up, please disregard.

$20 entry, payout top 3 for 10, more places for more people. Obviously Druff escrows funds or his designate.

A few more and we should be able to pull this off. If you're still on the fence over rules and $20 means the world to you, I run my pools as follows.

* 20 picks + 5 alternates. Alternates used in the unlikely event a pick dies before contest starts or a pick is invalidated due to non-celebrity status. Yes, that's a lot of picking, but I've found it's more interesting when you have more possibilities available. You can blow a pick on a longshot or two.
* Picks for the most part need to be some type of celebrity/famous person. IMO its bad form to pick fellow forum members, so I don't allow that. JSloppyearles22 took much heat for his Delaware post, I don't think we need people celebrating or placing point value on the death of a fellow forum member.
* Base points work off a table of 10 year age ranges, rather than having to do the 100-xx math. 18-29 30-39, 40-49, at time of death.
* Bonus points for Unique pick (no other person picked), Unnatural Causes (Murder/Suicide/Accidental/Death Drug/Acohol OD), First/Last Death of year, Birthday Present (Double points for any death occurring the calendar week of your birthday)
* Tiebreakers 1) Youngest Average Age of Correct Picks 2) Most Correct Picks 3) First Death of Correct Pick
* Picks will be sent via PM to wrenchjockey and not made public until the contest starts. My picks will be PM'ed to druff prior to anyone else making picks (don't send picks until this has been done)

Any questions/comments, don't hesitate to ask. I'd like to have at least 10 entrants prior to making my picks. My thought is picks and money due last week of January and contest starts 2/1. Every year there's someone who wants to Late Reg. As in the last PFA pool I'm open to having a late reg period, but there will be a penalty (probably entry fee/pick sniping/no unique bonus points).

Official Rules will be posted when picks open. Payout will be posted at the Start Day, or at the end of Late Reg, if it's allowed.
