The entire reason for the scary ride in the truck is that I'm getting my car tuned up with some new parts and wheels.

I forgot to take a pic of the wheels but they're from a different A4 that had a different package and thus had nicer bladed rims. and since they're coming off a salvaged car that was really never driven, it was from a veteran who left the car parked and a rodent ate the engine harness wire, the tires are brand new michellins. kinda stoked.


my car was the first big thing I purchased with poker bank roll so I love it to death.




the pipes came painted matte black and not chromed.

the muffler is the same way so itll stand out less underneath the car

indont know how you do it, but in my expierence when an exhaust system comes in pieces like that you must BUILD IT. then you must WELD IT to the car. bolt on? what the hell is bolt on here? gfys.

and obvs that's not my alignment rig you dumb knob, that's at my mechanic, who is teaching me how to work on cars, starting with mine (putting this exhaust in is like the 4th thing I've done to it. I also re did the front suspension with his help as well).

You idiots think I pay full price for everything including the work on my car. ya right. IF I pay for labor here, it'll be for the things I couldn't do, or materials I didn't get already.

At this moment in time, It's 2 Dynatrac Pro Rock 60 portal axles that cost us $21,000 for the pair, going on to a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon so we can stuff 54" of tire underneath it, and of course all the crazy suspension geometry/upgrade/fabrication that comes along with it. Your guy would drool if he came here, and I'm not even trying to brag. It's just that nice of a setup.

So continue spinning your sweet wheels. You're playing great Larry. You've got some sweet exhaust and wheels going on your sweet entry level Audi.


EDIT: Before you go off again how your exhaust isn't bolt-on, I'll let some redditors do my work for me here, and I'll go back to chuckling at you, and showing your sweet bolt-ons to my coworkers so we can all have a good little chuckle at your expense.

I'm bored, so here's some pics of some new axles and talk of the REAL build in progress.

As said before, a 2017 Wrangler Rubicon. 12 miles on the odometer. First thing to come off were the stock Dana 44 axles, wheels and tires. Then I cut the stock suspension mounting brackets off the frame, because why not take a cutoff wheel and grinder to a brand new Jeep? After cutting them off I have one of our guys throw a coat of body filler back on the frame because nobody likes grinder marks that are painted over, amirite? Also before this is complete, a 4" chunk of the body will be cut off to make room for the tires and the bumper ends will also be cut and modified. For whatever reason, I've never been able to talk this guy into using any bumper other than stock. This is the 7th Jeep we've built for him. Since this one is so extreme with tire size (54's, instead of the 41's we put on the rest) I'm trying to talk him into an active air suspension instead of the normal coil spring and long arm setup. I'm not having much luck so far but I'm not past the point of no return yet.

So that's where I'm at right now, I'll throw more pics in later because why not, it's a build thread right?
