Please describe whatever narrative your brain was operating under that allowed you to think a Star Wars movie might possibly be good.
The fallibility of the human mind is what allows this kind of systematically wrong decision making. Similarly markets too can be systematically wrong.

I've never belived in the hype of these movies. I've never actually owned anything remotely Star Wars related. I think it's just an example of how people are sheep and get behind the dumbest fucking things while neglecting other more important things.

Lastly if your going to shoot a movie for over 2 hours and Darth Vader is included in the movie, how does he only get 2 scenes?
the very first star wars movie was shit. seriously, try watching it again.
edit: I understand it filled a vacuum of sci-fi films. but it hasn't aged well and has been beating a dead horse since the 90's

I don't follow the Star Wars series at all, but Rogue did get an 85 score by the critics and 89 by the viewers on rottentomatoes.com
Looks like its going to crush at the box office. It's production budget is $200M, it probably will do that its first week domestically, opening weekend estimates are @ $175M

Don't sell your Disney stock based on this movie, it will probably end up grossing well north of $500M worldwide, likely to approach the $700-800M mark.
Let me guess... The rebels overcome steep odds, dispatch a lot of dumb storm troopers and eventually destroy the Death Star?

But not that far off either. The last 2 minutes of the movie was the Star Wars porn everyone wanted to see.
The "main problem" of the movie was two fold.
1. It took what seemed like forever to get going.
2. I didn't give a fuck about the protagonist.
That's tough to overcome.

I say it was the last 30 minutes that were the bread and butter of the movie. Yes the early parts were dull and provided the foundation of the movie. You must put this movie as a missing piece of why was the star destroyer chasing a small ship from episode 4. Watch EP4 now and it actually works well. I also enjoyed the random people you see sprinkled in the movie like the two guys from the bar that OB1 slices off his arm. You have to admit those made you smile when you see them before their ultimate demise.No.

Haven't seen rogue one. I do enjoy star wars movies but this new one doesnt entice me.
