In a recent podcast Adam carola said a trial lawyer friend of his told him 2 black people on the jury pretty much guaranteed Cosby not being found unanimously guilty in this case.
As much as the illiberal left decries profiling when it interferes with their social justice agenda (police, airport security) they have no problem utilizing it when it furthers their own ends (in this case using assumed racism to help a rapist go free)

While I am a law and order guy, 10 years is too long to bring a charge. Cosby is a huge scum bag, but 10 years is too long to claim rape. Even though Cosby probably did it, 10 years is just too long to make a claim.

She reported it a year after it happened. It is just being prosecuted now because Cosby recently became a mega heel, and the prosecutor was up for reelection. Even a year is too long to wait to report a rape. If a woman is raped she should go to police right away, and get a rape kit done, and give police a chance to go to his house and collect evidence.. Weird to wait a year, obviously after a year you won't be able to collect any evidence. Just the fact that she waited a year to report it probably makes this case unwinnable for the prosecution.
Bill better count on the jury, wrong tribe to get a judge to sign off on such nonsense.

No one admitted to, or was found guilty of, stealing from players themselves. The Department of Justice had called Full Tilt Poker a “global Ponzi scheme.” In his sentencing, Bitar reportedly did admit that “safe and secure” was a bogus phrase to describe player funds.

Mistrial declared. I'm studying the case a bit. Apparently she called him 53 times after the alleged rape, including 2 times on valentines day. She also attended a Cosby show in Toronto with her parents after the alleged rape, and even brought him a gift. Very interesting.
After hearing more today I now realize the vast majority but for 1 or 2 women 's evidence/testimony was even allowed.
One of those women as stated above took money, had contact 73 times! more after rape etc.
In a nut shell the case we saw made by the media (all the women) was not the case the jury weighed.
Couple that with the fact this woman did things that made her look bad I am now less shocked at the mistrial, still believe he did these things but the jury had to work with what they were presented.
No doubt if a parade of dozens of women got up and testified, he'd be in cuffs atm.
God damn these bitches lawyers must suck. He was Bill Fucking Cosby. Women were throwing themselves at him everywhere he went. He could have fucked all of these women legitimately. But he didn't, he drugged and raped them because that is what got him off. These bitches being in love with him still after has fuck all to do with if he raped them or not.

I don't think anyone involved in the case, including the accuser's attorney, is really surprised by the verdict. Like others have said, the case was never super strong in the first place because of how the accuser acted after she was raped, and there were 2 black people on the jury, which is a big deal. However, there are A LOT more women in line, including ones with a lot more sympathetic stories. This is all about setting the stage for all the civil trials coming.
I don't think so. I believe I've read that the statute of limitations has expired on all of those civil claims. Though I am not certain.
