Bodog/Ignition RAKE increase on December 13th

Can't find a FAQ on Ignition but Bodog is the network so obviously this applies to Ignition.

    https://poker.bodog.eu/get-started/bodog-rake

    Rake Changes

Rake will be collected at $0.01 for every $0.20 in the pot, instead of the previous $0.05 per $1.00
Max rake will be moving on Heads-Up Tables from $0.50 to $1.00
Max rake will be moving on Pot Limit and No Limit tables at stakes higher than $0.10/$0.25 from $3 to $4
Rape those micro players some more so they can't move up that easy but doubling the heads up table rake is ridiculous.

They only go up to $5-10 hu lhe. At $.50 rake you have to game select $5-10 pretty well for it to be beatable. At $1 rake I think this effectively makes all HU lhe tables on bovada unbeatable. Hopefully this isn't the start of a trend where they try to make all games unbeatable.

This thread title scared me, but I see that the rake of $1/$2/$3 at 30-60 LHE remains the same.

But yeah, it would be awful if that got increased to something like $5.

I'm sure they will rake the limit games higher next.

No rake increase in any game is good even if it's one you don't play. For people who play a variety of games it is less rec money available for your taking when these players enter your game.

Rake is a killer for LHE games. The rake for LHE games on WPN is much much lower than Ignition. Not to mention, WPN has rakeback on top of that.

Putting aside that WPN is a much tougher player pool all around the problem is that barely anyone plays limit holdem on WPN but if LHE is your game then I agree it makes way more sense to do it there (if it only ran more).

The poker sites are all getting greedy to the fuck they are gonna kill their own golden goose when people quit playing and depositing because its impossible to win any money.. At that point you might as well go fucking play Zynga or another play money site because that's the effect of what they are doing.. Basically your buying play chips which you cant W/D

Why would you want to see guys not move up stakes?
You know that money in poker starts from the bottom and moves up right?

I think you took what I'm saying wrong cuz it is exactly what you just said. The money travels from the bottom up so it pisses me off when poker sites continue to crush the micro guys in rake where they can't move up faster.

This isn't to say they should pound higher stakes games more with rake either because you need a cap and a $3 per pot seems fine but perhaps do $2 per pot at NL100 and NL200, then $1.50 per pot at NL50, and $1 at NL25,etc... Give these people a chance because getting two stacks in at NL25 is clearly only a fraction of the money as two stacks of a stake like NL400 but the rake might be the same or close to it.

This network is greedy as hell. They don't offer any rakeback so they are crushing it already and should never be increasing rake.

Nobody should be playing the HU tables at this new increase but you know enough morons will continue to do so that they won't ever consider reversing the change.
