This below is actually part of the Terms and Conditions @ Lock Poker...

if you make untrue and/or malicious comments with regard to the Company’s operation in any media or forum, the Company reserves the right (and you authorize the Company) to publicize your actions together with your identity and e-mail address, as well as to circulate this information to other online gaming sites, banks, credit card companies, law enforcement departments and other appropriate agencies. The Company may close any accounts, and forfeit account balances, that you have at Lock Poker or at any other Company website, casino and/or business

So let me get this straight.. If you talk shit even one time about Lock poker in the public, they reserve the right to immediately close your account, and seize any funds you may have in your account?

That is just absolutely ridiculous. Not only can they seize your funds but they can give out your identidy, and actually talk shit about you to other poker sites, banks, etc..

What the fuck is wrong with these people?

I really suggest you guys read the articles 3puttpar has posted above. Fucking ridiculous.
Of all the money e'er I had, I spent it in good company

24.Disclosure of Fraudulent Activities & Recovery of Disputed Credit Card transactions

If, in the Company's sole determination, you are found to have cheated or attempted to defraud the Games, Lock Poker, other players, or the Company in any way including but not limited to game manipulation or payment fraud, or if you make untrue and/or malicious comments with regard to the Company's operation in any media or forum, the Company reserves the right (and you authorize the Company) to publicize your actions together with your identity and e-mail address, as well as to circulate this information to other online gaming sites, banks, credit card companies, law enforcement departments and other appropriate agencies. The Company may close any accounts, and forfeit account balances, that you have at Lock Poker or at any other Company website, casino and/or business. Further, in the event of you disputing a credit card transaction made at Lock Poker as being unauthorized, or made in a 'card not present' environment, the Company may charge an administration & recovery fee of up to $US 500.00 per disputed transaction if it is deemed by the Company that the transaction was authorized and legitimate. The Company may also engage the services of debt collection agencies to recover from you the amount of any disputed transactions or chargebacks, administration and recovery fees, and other associated credit card processing fees or fines.

This has to do with credit card and financial disputes where the person is making false accusations, not for people saying the "The Lock Pokery is rigged on a forum" or going Druff on them.

As far as the affiliate who made those claims: 3Puttar has the details wrong.

Really? Why don't you please point out what I got wrong. I have provided all relevant links, the reader can see for himself if I'm getting details wrong.

Also, the T&C you posted is very clear; if you attempt to defraud Lock by cheating or payment fraud, OR if you talk shit about Lock, they have the right to ban you and seize your funds. There is no misrepresentation of this on my part. It does not only include false accusations made during financial disputes as you are claiming.

You only provided the links that show one side of the story; there is always more to it than that.

You initially said, "they scammed an affiliate out of his CPA payments, then closed his account because he discussed it on a public forum." which is incorrect, as is the article that said he didn't get paid. The affiliate is saying this, even in the letter from Jen Larson you can see that there is more going on here than a chargeback payment.

"Not only is the way they screwed this affiliate disgusting, but it has been revealed that the Lock T&C allows them to close any accounts and seize the funds of anyone who talks bad about them in any forum or other form of media." This is incorrect because you're pulling a Jsearles and not looking at the context of the entirity of the T&C, and simply docusing on a single sentence (a sentence that is adjoined to other sentences explaining what "talking bad" means).

The Lock reps have been logged into that forum and have been reading that thread for the past few days. If the affiliates story is false, why didnt they step in and issue a statement before things escalated to the point where they had multiple negative articles written about it and got blacklisted by another affiliate review site?

I think we've seen that Lock Poker isn't the fastest when it comes to handling things. That said, having an affiliate put you on blast in a public forum over a small payment discrepency sort of screams of other issues between the two to me. I know for a fact he didn't give them a reasonable amount of time to look into it. Considering the amount he was complaining about and the circumstances that there was a chargeback over a player who made a fradulent deposit, there's no need to go ripping (what is essentially your boss) in public.

Is their chargeback policy dumb or totally in their favor? I really don't know because I know very little about affiliate marketing, but the point is that even if it does suck he signed up for it as an affiliate, and then when the policy adversely affects him he starts saying the site is stealing from him in public! --that makes no sense to me.

The affiliate claims that he tried to contact them for several weeks with no response. The whole issue is that the chargeback "fees" they levied against him are not in the contract.

I dont think starting a thread asking for clarification on an issue equates to "ripping your boss in public". In fact, initially he thought it was just a simple accounting error and so did everyone else. The "ripping" of Lock didnt start until he got that email from the CEO claiming his account was closed for "slamming them in the forums" and for being "overall disrespectful".

We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.

    Pretty much

I do know that when people say "I tried contacting them for seeral weeks" they mean "I sent an e-mail last week, didn't hear anything, so they are obviously ignoring me!!" He accused them of basically stealing from him, I'd call that ripping your boss.

With black friday the landscape changed for US players, I doubt Lock Poker is the only one with problems processing. They might even be sincere about processing the payment but got dicked around themselves when they tried. From my own personal experience, its a pain in the ass to even play these days and no one in their right mind would deposit substantial amounts now. I'm like a the non-human blood drinking vampire, except I subside on low limit poker and duplicate poker (come play with me on skillbet, come at me bros) instead of the real thing.

Oh 2008, how I miss thee.

Just wanted to say thanks to Dan for making this site and keeping this stickied. I have referenced dozens of people to this specific thread and will continue to do so for all time.

    ...aaaaaaaaaaand Lock keeps on scammin'...

This is from 2+2, posted yesterday:

May was Lock's last month on the Merge network before switching to Revolution. The move to the new network caused multiple complications, one of which was the May SNG leader board. The leader board was not Lock-exclusive and was available to most skins on Merge other than those that opted out. This promotion was intended to run for the entire month of May with the 25 highest finishers receiving a cash prize.

This promotion was advertised on Lock's website for the entire month of May. Lock ended up leaving to their own network a day before the month ended, and as a result, their players were removed from the SNG Leader board. It was not communicated to players that this would be happening, and no one from Lock was paid.

Myself and other players emailed support or contacted Lock's 2+2 reps, but considering the switch to the new network, not many answers were provided. Eventually this thread was created: May SNG leaderboard from Merge

"ImJustShane" (Lock's 2+2 rep) eventually acknowledged the situation and after some discussions with Merge, agreed that Lock would be responsible for paying those affected:

Just waiting on a list of payouts from Merge now so we can take care of this, I will update back in this thread when that information is at hand.
Unfortunately Merge refused to provide Lock with the information confirming where Lock's players stood when they were removed from the leader board. Lock was able to identify where two players stood on the leader board because their volume made it obvious. However, there was trouble identifying where 3-4 players placed who would have finished between 10th and 25th.

On September 4th ImJustShane asked all players who believed they were affected by this issue to e-mail him information proving their case:

Personally, I sent shane a screenshot of my HEM database and Sharkscope results for May. I also sent him HEM/SS information from the two previous month's where I cashed on the leader board, as well as screenshots of those month's leader boards for comparison. I never received a reply to that e-mail. I also posted in the above linked thread several times asking for confirmation that Shane received my e-mail as well as a few PM's that went unanswered.

On September 27th Shane posted in the thread that he was continuing to work on the situation but didn't give any concrete updates on the situation. Myself and other players continued to bump the thread and attempt to contact Shane to no avail.

Shane finally broke his silence yesterday complaining that the situation was proving too difficult since he could not get the exact figures from Merge. However on September 3rd he had already acknowledged that Merge would not be assiting in this matter and that Lock would be figuring out on their own where players likely finished:

I have written to my CEO tonight to see if we can come up with a plan to move forward without the information from Merge.

So here we are today. Two players have been paid, however myself and at least 2 other players have not been paid with almost no explanation of what's going on. It should be noted that each of these 3 players would have been awarded $100-$200. For me personally I know I would have either won $100 or $125. Therefore Lock has decided to drag this out for 5 months over a maximum of $525.

After increased frustration due to Lock's communication I decided to make this thread. Hopefully increased exposure to this issue will encourage Lock to make good on Shane's multiple promises in the May Leader board thread.

    Cliffs:

    - Lock particpates in Merge's SNG Leader board which awards the top 25 finishers a cash prize for the month of May and advertises it on their website

    - Lock Leaves Merge a day before the promtion ends, removing Lock's players from the leader board with no warning

    - Merge refuses to provide Lock with the information to determine where Lock's players stood when they were removed so Lock's 2+2 rep encourages affected players to prove their case to him via email

    - 5 months later and Players are still owed money

This is all so Lock can save $525 that rightfully belongs to their players.

    What a shady company.

I haven't been keeping up with Lock since I don't play there but Jon Aguiar is going apeshit on them sponsoring Mizrachi. Apparently they aren't processing payouts and haven't been for a month or so.

I'm not sure what is worse Lock Poker signing pros like Grinder when they aren't paying out or Grinder not paying attention to all the problems Lock has before signing with them.

A few years ago I could see it when Michael was broke as shit and likely would do it just for a paycheck but he's had some scores since then so who knows.

From the network that can't pay people it's no problem to them they are running a Promo called "Grind For Glory"

    http://lockpoker.eu/promos/grind-for-glory/

Don't worry their business model of New Promos and New Pros is really the way to go when you can't pay out.

Here is a real report from a trusted third party regarding Lock and their payout situation:

    Hey Druff,

I just finished with what was a 4 month ordeal getting $650 off of Lock poker. I thought the process was interesting to say the least and there was a surprise at the end that I was not expecting and I thought you and PFA would be interested. So here is my timeline to getting paid.

    9/24/12 I submit a request for $650 via check

9/30/12 I receive the standard Payout Request Confirmation email which lets me know they will be charging me $25 for cashing me out and if the check gets sent back to them for any reason, I will be charged $250. Interestingly, they also let you know that if you change your mind, your funds will still be available until they are authorized for processing.

12/8/12 So after the standard 10 weeks I get the Payout Processed email. Basically letting me know to keep a look out for my check sometime soon.

1/18/13 I receive my check and deposit it in my bank, thinking I must be one of the last people to get paid, because I am hearing rumors that no one, not even rest of world players are getting paid. They don't put a hold on it and cash it so I assume everything is ok.

1/25/13 This is where it gets weird. Now ,I haven't heard anything from my bank, but I get this email:
    Hello,

Our Check Processor had informed us that your $625 check was returned to us due to an issue with the Check batch. This is an anomaly and are very regrettful that this happened, as I understand you have been waiting some time for your payout. Please accept our sincerest apologies. I have credited the funds back to your Lock account and recommend processing your withdrawal via Western Union instead, which is done much faster than check payouts. Please let us know if this works for you and will have our Cashier Manager expedite this.

Also, please let us know if you were charged any bank fees due to this check issue and will of course, credit you for this.
    All my best,

    Elle

1/25/13 I send them an angry but short email complaining about Lock Poker and asking what the procedure with Western Union is.(At this point I am 99.9% sure that I am never going to see a penny of this money.)

1/26/13 7:26am I once again receive a standard Payout Request Confirmation email saying that I have requested my funds via Western Union.(although I never did submit a request for payment. I only asked what I needed to do.)

1/26/13 7:32am Six minutes later, I receive this.
    Hello,

You just need to pick up the funds at your local Western Union branch in Las Vegas NV. Once Western Union processes this payout, you will be emailed your pickup info that you need to take with you along with photo ID to Western Union. We can get the funds in your hands within 48 hours.

We have already submitted a Western Union payout for you.
    All my best,

    Elle

    ---
    CSR, Lock Support
1/26/13 3:00pm I receive this Payout Processed email.
    Dear XXXX XXXX,
Your Payout of 650 USD for Account ID XXXXXXX has been processed. Method: Western Union

To pickup your payout, please visit the nearest Western Union and provide the following information:

    CONTROL NUMBER: 1********9
    Sender Details:
    MAURICIO FLORES ZELEDON
    , Nicaragua

We thank you for your continued business and are always available if you should have any questions.
1/26/13 3:30 I go pick up my $650. No problem. Easy peasey.

I don't know if getting money from them on Western Union is always so easy, but it was really a surreal ending to my dealings with Lock.

That is horrible and the true definition of the expression "getting the run around".

So that person posts the real same of the sender from WU? Not a great idea imo.
