Big Congrats to Mike Sexton- Wins First WPT Title

For those who didn't hear. Mike Sexton who's been the voice of the WPT since it started finally has his name etched in WPT history as he took down the WPT Playground title about an hour ago. Mike was chip leader as the FT started and pulled it off. He binked for over $400k Canadian. Also the nice watch but best off he has himself a WWE like title belt which playground poker gives away with the title every year. Mikes now needs an EPT title to claim a career triple crown. To me couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Not holding my breathe that Van Patten ever wins a WPT title however. 😏

Let's admit it we've all heard some horrible things about Mark Sexton. He's a nasty man.
But he is now also a winner and that's the kinda guy we need to make it all better.

Would also love to hear the Sexton gossip. I've played with him once in 2014 and he was a nice guy, asked me a lot about World Cup betting. He is quite a tilt monkey at the table though, it's pretty funny.

Sexton taught her programmers poker. Directed the software dev. Originated the concept of the satellite tournament.

Hell, he picked the name PartyPoker.

The best part is he turned down equity in PartyPoker in favor of a fee for his services. Passed on fabulous wealth cause he was such a poker visionary and had faith in its future.

Now he grinds tournaments hoping to bink something and is a poker greeter.

Equally fascinating is how the PartyPoker story, his greatest contribution and failure, is absent from his Wiki. This is evidence how this is still painful despite his protest.

PartyPoker was worth $8-12 billion at its peak. Ruth Parasol & her husband Dipshit were very close to Adelson as the richest people in the gaming industry.

Sexton and his great, great grandchildren, if he took just a sliver, would have been set for life.

Sexton was also present when the hole cam was created by Henry Orenstein. I believe Sexton always saw the potential for success but somehow never managed to cash despite always being at ground zero.

As an aside and great trivia question - Henry Orenstein was also a toymaker who convinced Hasbro to start producing Transformers.

Sexton told Ruth Parasol not to sell PartyPoker to Paradise for $9 million early on. She was thinking about it. Always on the fringe as a spectator and an announcer.

How is the not fascinating? Yeah, if he looked like a tilt monkey to FTPJesus then you can completely understand given his life story.

Where the hell did I call Mike a TiltMonkey??? I was actually happy to see the guy win the title honestly... Hell the guy is in the HOF and had a WSOP TOC title... It was Shizz that called him the tiltmonkey.. Not sure how I got tagged for it though..
