We are pretty sure Todd Witteles is leading the pack with a 53,000 chip stack. We are nearing the end of the day and Witteles is looking really strong.

Pokernews claims I'm the chipleader at 53k. My high point was actually 49500 but I am at 43200 after dropping 2 to Keller. #pfa20

Pokernews should hire some people who can actually fucking count.

Obv Yebbie taught Druff mad skillz in their headsup match.
When faced with a difficult decision, ask yourself "What would Micon do?", then do the opposite.

Thanks to those rooting for me.

I got as high as 49,500 near the beginning of level 8, but lost 4 straight hands to end the day with 38,900.

Notable players at my Day 1 table were:

Karen Manfrede (big online winner at limit hold 'em, mostly unknown)
    B00mslang from Pokerstars (German player)
    Carlos Mortensen
Greg Mueller (took over Mortensen's seat in the middle of the day)
John Juanda (showed up at my table in final 30 minutes)
    Shawn Keller

Tomorrow at 2pm I start at the following table:

Seat 1 Aubin Cazals 36,400 chips
Seat 2 Matthew Schreiber 500 chips (Hero Poker pro)
Seat 3 Daniel Idema 3500 chips (finished 2nd in 2010, 1st in 2011 in this event)
    Seat 4 Dwyte Pilgrim 6800
Seat 5 Nick Derke 74300 (chip leader of the event)
    Seat 6 Robert Redman 17500
    Seat 7 Todd Witteles 38900
Seat 8 Phil Tom 9800 (AP cheater Scott Tom's father, and supposedly the source of AP seed money)
    Seat 9 John Holdren 28000

This is a weird table because it features both the event chip leader and three very short stacks.
