In Nassau, BS now.
Winds about 100 km/h expected to hit 200 km/h in next few hrs. + a 10 ft. swell.
Boat will be in trouble if that happens. Would send a screen shot but don't need any low-life's knocking on door during pca.
Get ready FLA. You're next...
maybe this time it'll take florida away.
because when I read stories about how they arrested a guy for having a milk crate attached to his bicycle, i feel as if the entire state should suffer a giant fucking hurricane
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2016/10/01...ilk-crate.html
Polk County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Carrie Horstman defended the arrest.
“You’re possessing something that is stolen from a business, whether it’s as small as a milk crate, or a shopping cart,” Horstman told WFLA. “He was charged with possessing stolen property. He may pay a fine or spend a few days in jail.”
The milk crate was the property of Sunshine Dairy Farms. Troller claimed he found it on the side of the road, the station reported.

I am on the west coat/Gulf side of Florida.
Not supposed to be in the path of the storm but the weather will be poor and windy.
I never took down the plexiglass hurricane covers for windows
People down here install folding hurricane shutters too.
Most people in this neck of the woods have generators.
Not worried about it.
One thing that I find interesting down here is that the power company will wire a remote control unit to a non critical big energy draw at your house. In my case, I have a separate air conditioning system for my garage. I noticed I could not get it to run. The power company disconnected this AC remotely to do some load shedding.
You will prolly see this tech coming to a neighborhood near you as the apocalypse draws near.
Prolly wire a disconnect to Druff's shower for the LA water crisis.
how do those pools cover screen looking enclosures do during high winds? you taking it down Sanlmar?
They call them lanais. Nah, leave em up. The frame is pretty rugged. There are tension cables incorporated and what all. The screen itself is pretty cheap to patch or fix.
I am such a bum. Not bad out here right now
Yeah I'm a west palm beach guy. I spent all day yesterday putting up these hevay ass metal shutters and I got a call from my cousin that he couldn't make it back from vacation and asked me to put them up.
I'm not "scared" but I'll admit this has my attention.
I live on the coast of Georgia. It looks like we are going to get fucked. This area isn't ready for this. We typically avoid hurricanes being so far west on the east coast - that and the gulfstream usually keeps them at bay which is 70 miles away from land. This is not good. Evacuation orders given this morning.
Some parts of Miami/Dade county lost power people tell me.
Paging bottomfag to this thread. Please tell us all what's going to happen.

was hoping this was another matt marafiotti thread.
All quiet so far, but it's early.
Seriously, where the fuck is Draymond when we need him.
And as of the last update palm beach county is out of the cone.
I got enough carbs, beer and water to feed an army.
I don't live in Florida anymore but my parents are in Brevard County a couple blocks from the beach. They decided not to leave and ride it out. This is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen them do. They could literally die depending on how big the storm surge is.
