    NitrogenSports.eu Debate Prop Bet

Monday night nitrogensports offered various debate prop bets. Most of these props were obscure things like what color will Trump or Hillarys clothing be. Those props were left open fairly close to the beginning of the debate. I made a few bets one of them was that Hillarys Jacket would would red. My wager was booked to begin at 8:00 I made this bet at 7:36. Approximately 5 minutes after I made this bet nitrogen removed red from the list of colors that could be wagered. Allowing users the ability to bet on other colors with the exception of red. They eventually took down the color wagers right before the 8:00 Pm Central time cut off. I am going to say roughly 30 minutes or later after the debate started nitrogen released a statement. The statement nitro made was that the candidates clothing they were going to wearing shown in a parking garage where the event was to be held. The statement was they were going to cancel all Hillary and Trump clothing bets. The Hillary bets made after 7:36 were to cancelled. All Trump bets after 7:05 would also be cancelled that placed on his tie color. I will post a link to the nitro statement below, also my betslip link.

Should nitrogen have the right to cancel these bets when they were placed well before the event to occur. The statement of the voided slips happened well after the event occurred and it was action. My argument I have maintained is they never cancelled the wager before the event start at 8pm. The event never started before its scheduled start time it actually got rolling like 10 after 8 or something. I have also made the point that the pictures the video nitrogen showed had no impact on the debate clothing at all. The clothing the candidates were wearing in the parking garage could easily be changed. There was roughly 40 minutes before they hit the debate stage from the parking garage footage. My feeling is it is a assumption that they were not going to change clothes based on the fact the event had not started it was not action. It was just footage from inside a parking garage before said action.

I have also made the point that nitrogen waited sometime after to do anything. They never made a effort to take the line down they just subtracted red then later took it down. Although later I believe they did refund bettors of 7:36 or later. My feeling on this is if Hillary would of came out in a orange jacket nitrogen just scoops every other wager and no statement is said but that is just how I feel. I do feel like I am entitled to a payout on my prop bet. Nitrogen has yet to address any of the question I have asked them other than say to me a decision has already been made. My question to you is I am correct in pursuing this do you believe I am deserving of this payout?

Every single offshore book that offers these sorts of exotic props has a rule built in that basicaly says "fuck you, our final decision is final". It's the reason why Vegas can only offer bets that can be graded by referencing the official box score issued by the leauge. The state of Nevada wouldn't let this shit happen some internet Bitcoin book is beholden to no one.

Now that said - it's very very very likely you saw these same pictures or talked to someone else who did and took a shot. If I was running the book I wouldn't pay you either so long as I knew for a fact that these images were out there on TV. Unlike many other decisions I've seen they have done a heck of a job building the case.

Some of the more public books may just pull the plug on the prop and pay off what's been booked. Sportsbook.ag effectively did this a few years ago when a copy of the A Keys national anthem test was leaked and it showed she was going to smash the record time. They even tweeted or ahead of time "wow - looks like some of you are going to get paid on the over.... We have closed the prop congratulations." Big difference between the most public book there is and some little book:

Lastly I'd say to you that you are lucky you didn't make these bets on 5Dimes. Tony would be closing up your account and pocketing the $$.

Thanks for your input Daly I appreciate it. I believe nitrogen did do good in there statement i just do not agree with the timing of there actions at all They should of closed the line and not allowed more non red bets and wait a hour to make a decision. I don't know if you wager to much with bitcoin or not but nitrogen is the gold standard for BTC wagering. I have used them personally for 3 years and I have never seem them not a bet that was legitimate. Also I do believe I never past posted due the fact she was never at the debate stage for action to occur she was in a parking garage probably on her way to a make up room. Action was not till 8 Pm on my slip she didn't hit the stage till a while after.

I removed the crap from this thread and also moved it to this forum, where it's most appropriate.

I agree with Daly that you were likely "taking a shot" at a book which hadn't yet removed the bet when the color was already known by some of the public.

However, I agree with you that it was REALLY scummy of them to remove "red" (which they knew was the correct choice) from the betting options, and continuing to allow people to bet on the wrong one.

I would stay away from Nitrogen's prop bets in the future, and will mention this story on radio tonight.

You also have no recourse, as Daly mentioned.

However, from the statement you posted of theirs, it appears they canceled ALL bets made after the time these videos were seen of the candidates in the parking lot.

That is a fair resolution, even if they initially were trying to pull a fast one.

I would stay away from prop bets with Nitrogen. .

Anyone who bet after 830 est the bet should be no action.

I think I have been at nitrogen about 3 1/2 years now I have never really had a issue with any big market sports bets. There has been trouble in the past with props but I have never heard of anything not being corrected in the end I may be wrong on this. Nitrogen for the most part is highly monitored I remember something about that contest though Badguy. I really can't make assumptions on why they left all the colors up but red or why they took so long to make a statement. But I agree also it does not look well at all.

I have not really heard to many people interested in hearing this view but I honestly believe that assuming they would or would not change ward robe before the debate is not fair and since what occurred in the parking garage was not the debate I don't see how they could make a stand that is what they wear going to wear on the debate stage. If Trump changed his tie and Hillary did or not not it changes nitrogen's position greatly. So the possibility of a freeroll was there.

The argument that has been made by nitro and other industry watch dogs is that there was public knowledge of this at 7:35. The argument I had made back to them is if there is public knowledge on ESPN of Lamar and other key players not playing Saturday night at Clemson it greatly impacts the game. What if I make a bet on the game before the line movement with the knowledge under the assumption ESPN airs it ASAP. Should they have the right to cancel my wager after the game and freeroll because it was known that I used a "bad line".
