I just downloaded 4.2 and seems to work fine.

Sweeeeeet I just downloaded the 5.5 and never knew about a work around. I prefer the simple layout and think the design is cleaner which I like as I talk to only a couple friends on skype during mtt grinding. For those who belong in 10+ group chats etc, this wont be ideal for them I don't think.
Keeping the RAM usage down is always a plus, and will help me for when I start streaming on Twitch.

I'm going to try to get 4.2.

I'm not sure if the dropped calls and other issues we've had recently are a result of new Skype, but I'm willing to take a shot with the old one again.
