a lot of the hotels will have a seafood buffet on a particular day, it usually runs a little more $$$ but if that's your thing then you shouldn't have a problem dishing out the few extra dollars. im not real big on seafood so i usually avoid buffets that are running their friday seafood buffet special but i have gone a couple times and you see some of the funniest people. one time this fat black lady was sitting at like the closest table to the buffet and by herself, she had a pile of crabs and a bucket full of cracked legs. she had this huge bowl of butter sauce and it was i shit you not ALL OVER HER SHIRT. the most disgusting thing ive ever seen and this was at the fucking bellagio, way to keep it classy.

The most disgusting this I've seen in Vegas was the "Hoosiers Rock" T-shirt that Micon was rocking for the 5th straight day.

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to, and it's not why I'm here. I just went on mega tilt when this guy tries to threaten me by saying "pm me next time you're in Joplin" like he's going to fight me or something. I made a little hot dog joke, and he got all butt hurt like you can only witness on the Internet. I'm sure you know I love food. I could talk about it all day. I was going to ask which buffets people preferred, but yes, I was derailed.

I think I need to sleep.
You fucking self-appointed dork lol. It wasn't a "like he is going to fight me or something" deal, that was the truth numb-nuts, I was gonna stomp your ass, and I still may if I ever find you. I am sure your contribution to Joplin was major, anything to get noticed, eh? Kind of like someone posting under false pretenses? People like you are what ruin any decent site, let alone a poker site. You name-changing assholes ruin every site there is. I will go, but it isn't because of you and your dumb ass comments and false names, it is because of the support you still receive here from the other DD dummies that think posters like you and jewdonk are some kind of God lol. Todd has created exactly what he didn't want, a forum full of Flying Stupidity and zero actual poker talk, it's the same as NVG with less posters. I crushed PartyPoker at 5/10 for years before the luckbox Hachem win, I also crushed at my job laying floors for 25 years, I am set for life at 48 and I need no forums to make me 'popular' as yourself you fucking asshat. I just want to thank Templar for all the technical help, ty sir. Thank you Todd for instituting a site that discourages fraud and...whatever I guess lol. For you to still allow limitles and jsearles and this weiss fuckhead to still post seems to go against the first sticky of the thread. I like you Todd, but you are letting this turn into NVG, the posts-per-thread ratio should be an indication. I shall never post here again, and on one last note, fuck you Weiss you name-changing scammer. I know you think "oh, he will come and lurk and see what's going on." Todd can block my IP, I will never ever come back here, the site in it's name is an oxymoron because of what druff let's go on around here,,Ciao and ty again Templar, you are a class act.

How do you guys remember the names of restaurants in Vegas? I'm so drunk and tired when I'm there I'm lucky I can remember the name of the casino I'm staying at.

The only one I can recall is that I had a good meal at the Mirage, a Brazilian Restaurant, 12 of us had the Rodizio.... OSA would have loved it there was a non-stop flow of meat at our table. Of course this was over 5 years ago so who knows if the place is still any good.

Now, if you want some good places in the Boston area let me know.
I write things about poker at my Poker Blog and elsewhere on the Internets

Plenty of upscale places mentioned already so I'll go cheap and say Tacos Mexico. You'll most likely be the only white person there but it's worth it.

It's hilarious that we as a society think everyone can be a dr, a lawyer, an engineer. Some people are just fucking stupid. Why can't we just accept that?

Yeah, I came to your shit, remote town to get noticed by all the batshit crazy churches you guys have. You got me. Only reason I went there was in case someone from PFA was from Joplin, my popularity would blow through the roof! Been planning this for a year now. Seriously though Mr Bundy, congrats on "crushing" partypoker 8 years ago. Tell me more about highschool, and your accomplishments growing up. I'm really interested. I'd be set at 48 too if I lived in a fucking hut in some shit town America. Congrats at crushing your job laying floors too. Jesus would be proud, and all the Mexicans that hang out in front of Home Depot waiting for you to pick them up probably KNOW you're the king!

Do you even play poker old man? Oh, that's right, you're not coming back. How am I supposed to get my ass stomped in Joplin? Old shrinking man, I bet your face barely reaches the top of my ass. Now get on your fucking knees and buff my floor you fucking mook.

Every Vegas trip I try to eat at 1, so called, higher end restaurant.

I have to agree that Hugo's @ Four Queens is quite good. I've also enjoyed nice meals @ Alize at the top of the Palm's & Mix in Mandalay Bay that haven't been mentioned yet. I think next trip I hope to try Rick Moonan's for seafood. I've always wanted to eat here but it's just never worked out.

Lots of great suggestions so far.

Ive gotten to the point that I look forward to the dining in Vegas more than the gambling and partying! I must be getting old.

Carnevino at Palazzo is probably my favorite place for steak. I enjoyed the filet I had there even more than the pricier grade 7 Wagyu filet I had at Craftsteak. It has a classier more romantic vibe than say N9ne or some of the other more loud places which makes it ideal for a date or a quiet dinner with the someone special in your life.

Another of my favorites is Nove Italiano at Palms. The view and food are excellent and so is the service. Both times I was there Chef Gino Bernardo sent out a small appetizer on the house which I thought was cool. Their Calamari is the best Ive ever had, Ive stopped ordering it at other places because it never compares.

The best dining value in town is the $20.12 prix fixe lunch at Estiatorio Milos at Cosmopolitan. It lets you get a taste of the same stuff thats on their absurdly expensive dinner menu for next to nothing. The food is simply amazing and though I am not much of a seafood fan I would have to guess that this place is probably near the best the city has to offer in that department.

If money is no object and you are serious foodie, either of the Robuchon restaraunts at the MGM are phenomenal.

For steak, I think most big time steak houses end up being pretty good. Some favorites for me are CUT, Carnevino and Del Friscos (off strip).

Had an amazing meal at Raku, just awesome japanese food especially for checking out some japanese food beyond sushi.

Believe it or not the shitty Gold Coast has an awesome chinese restaurant called Ping Pang Pong

A bunch of traders I work with are based in Vegas some of the restaurants they love and i am dying to try include: Bartolotta and/or RM Seafood for seafood, China Mama, Bachi Burger and Todd's Unique.

Drexel would be a great resource for this thread.

Here is a link to a las vegas sun article about top vegas restaurants:

Weiss... All You Can Eat Seafood Buffet at the Rio is what you are looking for. Obv I'll hit it up with you.

Just ate at the South Philly Italian restaurant at the Rio 3 nights ago, Martorano's. It was excellent but the prices were weird. Appetizers were way over priced, and the dinner prices were strange... $26 for spaghetti and meatballs, but the Veal Parm, which is what I had, was only $30. The service was very good and the waiters all wear shirts that have a little slogan on the back "Hey Cuz"...lol. Alan Cunningham sat at a table next to me with some much older looking woman.

Barry took me to a place off of Sahara a while back and I've been there several times since called Lotus of Siam. It is outstanding and according to some, the best Thai restaurant in the US. I'm inclined to agree.

Best BBQ... Memphis Championship BBQ on Warm Springs, and it's not even close.

Best sushi for me at the moment is this little place off of Eastern Ave called Hawaiian Grille and Sushi. $27 all you can eat deal which includes EVERYTHING ON THE MENU. And I am talking a large menu. Price even includes dessert. Excellent, excellent quality sushi.

Big fan of Cuban food as well, which we have a decent selection of here in Vegas. My favorite place is the Cuban Cafe on Trop, also close to Eastern.

Firefly is awesome, easily my favorite Tapas restaurant. They have 3 locations, Paradise, Sahara and a new one on Eastern. Paradise is always packed so get there early if you go.

I have a little Italian place I love with a great view of the strip from the east side... It's called Ventana. Nice restaurant with an outside patio that over looks the valley, absolutely beautiful, and the food is always really good.

Steak... I am a steak connoisseur. The best steak you can get here is made by me, at my house, but if you aren't fortunate enough to make your way out to my place, I would go with a few... Mind you, they are all good, I haven't had a bad meal at any steak house in Vegas, except for maybe Hanks in GVR, and the joke of a steakhouse they have in Sunset Station. I'd probably go with Prime in the Bellagio or Cut in Palazzo. Believe it or not I actually have heard great things about the steak house in Circus Circus, and also Binions, but I haven't eaten at either one.

Someone said Alize in the Palms and also Hugo's Cellar in the Four Queens. Both are outstanding. Hugo's is kind of one of those "best kept secrets" type of places since it's in shitsville. Highly, highly recommend though. Alize is outstanding and has an incredible view of the city as it sits at the very top of the Palms.

My all time favorite restaurant in Vegas was Commanders Palace, which was in the Aladdin and is no longer there. Place was AMAZING. It was run by the Brennan's out of New Orleans, those people run some good restaurants. I pray they make their way back here at some point, I really miss good Cajun.

Did I mention the sushi place also has all you can drink sake for $8? Yup, $8. $35 and you are drunk as fuck with a full belly of sushi!

Lotus of Siam I had been told about but had forgotten the name. I'll have to check it out next time.

Ventana sounds like my kind of place as I love Italian.

I agree with you on the steak places. I've never went to one in Vegas because quite frankly a BBQ steak is always better in the back yard with a good brew & some great company. I also consider myself a BBQ savant & nothing beats my place at least for me.

Since I'm not expecting an invite to your place anytime soon, I'll have to check out Prime or Cut. I personally can't get past the smell & enter Cicus Circus to check out the steak house although I've heard from many that's it's really good.

I have tried just about every Steak House in Vegas, and "The Best Steak House" is the only one I go to now. I could care less about the shitty casino or the smelly people inside Circus Circus. They are my people. The place really is a gem, and I recommend it 5 out of 5 *****.
Of all the money e'er I had, I spent it in good company
