Heard on a podcast recast of a Fresh Air interview of Gene Wilder from a decade ago that Wilder argued with Mel Brooks until he was screaming and blue in the face for Brooks to accept having this scene in "Young Frankenstein". At which point, Brooks just said, "Okay."
During the interview, they played the audio form this scene, and it made me laugh so hard, I nearly had to pull over from driving the truck.
