Portland all day. No sales tax, good fresh fish, good weather, intriguing microclimates.

Krypt could never move to the west coast..... unless his parents moved there.

Wife and I are weighing options as far as where we want to go moving back east next year.. We'd leaned towards back near where I used to live being half way between my east coast relatives and hers (I have family in FL she has family in WV and CT). But seriously weighing options to exploit my dual citizenship so may consider moving up near the border with Canada that way can set up to play on PS in Canada (also more options for day trading in Canada as a citizen vs the bullshit the US Govt closed down thanks to Dodd Frank) plus if shit continues going south in the States can just relo permenantly. Wife could easily get a job and being married to me she would immediately be eligible for resident alien status. We shall see what happens but seriously thinking Upstate NY or even ME,VT or NH possibly. (I'm partial to having a place in NS or NB in Canada honestly vs back closer to Ontario and will not consider QC)

Seriously scoped out ME and went to Bar Harbor and Portland. Loved both places, but would rather live in Portland because every other girl I saw downtown was an east coast 10 and an LA 7

Saint Albans, VT is a dam fine town, grew up there. 10 minutes from the border and Vermont I'd very desolate. So much wide open land and nice people who don't bother you.

I don't see any meat so i'm going with marinara, but honestly it's about the last thing i'd be eating in Newport.

Looked too chunky for marinara, but I trust you on sauces.

Bar Harbor. Doesn't Martha Stewart have a daughter? Lotta old money. But these places are where the moneyed crowd summers.

Nothing in the northeast is worth moving to year round unless you have a great job here.

Boston is killing it. There was a crane on every corner past two years. Hongkonger would never recognize South Boston or the new Seaport District. General Electric just relocated their headquarters to Boston a few days ago.

There is no crime. People in Chicago are friendlier ... up until they shoot you.

240,000 college students with coeds that are from all over the world.

So if you like money or serving those with money you are in the right neck of the woods. But year round? NH Maine summer and Naples winter.

I always harbor the feeling you are just rolling and trolling PFA but you do it with great style. Big fan.
