Critics thought it was terrible, Vonnegut himself hated it, and it made $178k (lol) at the box office. It never made it to wide release.
Honestly, even the trailer looks cheesy, and I'm trying to judge it from 1999 standards, not 2023 standards.

The story is wild from start to finish. Three film legends among other notables make the watch worth it.

Downtown Vancouver (Burrard and W. Georgia), a company offered several films in theatres with 50 seats or less. It was like having your personal screening room.
We didn't care what was playing it was a nice experience.
One weekend we luck out on Blood Simple.

Loved his books as a young man. They just don’t translate well to movies. I think Tim Burton should take a shot at Slaughterhouse Five. The original wasn’t that good. He might be the only one who could pull it off.
