The round eyes out there need to learn the fruits of thousands of years of culture. Sure the west invented McDonald's but what about something more meaningful.
Are you serious about that last paragraph? If so you must be a relative noob and are still in the "hey this is awesome" phase. Live in China a while longer, especially if you have a few relationships, and you will come to hate the country and its people and realize why the west is far superior.

Just a jest here. Actually I have lived in Asia for quite some time but Hong Kong is new to me. That phase you mentioned I did go through. It lasted about two weeks. That is no joke.

My only real gripe with HK, other than the heat and humidity, is how everyone walks like they're intentionally trying to get in your way.
