Wiping a Laptops harddrive clean before selling

I'm looking for the best way to wipe a hard drive clean before selling it on craigslist. Have had a lot of poker play, financial transactions and browsing done so i need the safest most effective way while still leaving the OS intact for the buyer. A friend suggested all i needed was dban.org but I'm not sure.

Step 1 - Remove Hard Drive
Step 2 - Put Hard Drive through shredder
Step 3 - Put in new hard drive
Step 4 - Make new owner buy Windows

yeah you can get sucked into a huge back and forth about overwrites/standards or you can peel off those stickers on the hard drive and use a screwdriver to shatter the platter.

one of those paths is absolute and removes doubt, the other involves discussions with faggots.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that if you can't figure out how to rotate a photo then you should probably just destroy the fucking hard drive

Sorry i'm a bit late to the party but to wipe a hard drive, cd, usb stick so it is unusable: put it in the microwave and nuke it.

    now you know.
