Looks like Jason Mercier will own half the poker world after making all kinds of bracelet bets this year. Last night he took down the 10k NL 2-7 event and claims he won significantly more money on the side bets than the actual $273k 1st place prize.
Did you see David Gray at that table? He finished 4th, but I think he definitely finished all the leftovers for everyone at that table.
I could barely recognize him. He may have gained 80-100lbs

Jason Mercier stands to win millions if he can make good on the biggest WSOP bracelet bets he's ever booked.
Three bracelets in one summer is a long-shot for anyone but if Mercier can do it this year he told us he'll pocket $1.8 million from fellow poker pro Vanessa Selbst.
Selbst will pay Mercier 180 to 1 on $10k if he can pull off the hat-trick, a similar bet to the one she made against Dzmitry Urbanovich where she's risking $2m against $10k on three bracelets.
Mercier explained he also has a bunch of other bets he'll collect on if he takes down just one WSOP event.
he is also rite now first in chips out of 18 left at the 10k razz event..... so bink!

Some people are saying that Mercier is unethical holding Vanessa to this bet, but tough luck on her. If you make a bet, it's your responsibility to stick to the terms, even if you regret it later.
Mercier is chipleader at the 10k Razz, 8 remain. That Hanson kid is in 7th.
