Ryan Laplante is an openly gay poker player from Minnesota. He just won a bracelet in the $565 PLO event.

I met Laplante two years ago at the WSOP, when he ended up seated next to me. He complimented me on the show, and said he always listened.

He was also very involved in the gay poker group "Rainbow Flops", which is said to have pressured listener/user PLOL to leave PFA.

It is not clear if Laplante was one of the people asking PLOL to leave. He was very nice when I met him two years ago.

I asked Laplante today out of curiosity if he still listens, and he said that he "hasn't listened in a long time".

I believe Laplante is the 3rd openly gay person to win a bracelet. Vanessa Selbst and Jason Somerville are the other two.

He was very involved in the late-2015 anti-Pokerstars activism, regarding the Supernova Elite controversy.
