Absolutely depressing meltdown.

Came in with so many hands where I flopped a pair and some kind of draw, and bricked them all.

Final hand had a chance to get me back in decent shape (98k pot) but the killer 8-outer river punked me.

Second event out of three where I had a few hundred less than 160k and busted within 75 minutes of play. Second event out of three where my bustout hand had me over an 80% favorite when the chips went in, and where I would have been back in okay shape if I won.

Lederer AND Ferguson were in this one, but neither at my table.

There were SEVEN bracelet winners at my table:

Brandon Wittenmeyer (won the event I finished 40th in last year)

The only non-bracelet-winner was Kenny Shei, who has $3.4m in tournament cashes.

Also had multi-bracelet-winner Eric Froehlich before he got moved.

So horrible table draw, and then horrible luck once I started on my way down.

Actually just realized I had 167k at my peak, as I lost 7500 right after winning that big pot.

That actually makes me feel slightly better, so I didn't punt off the exact same 159k I did two days ago. I know, shouldn't matter.

Now I really want that last LHE event (the $3k 6-max).

Some specialists left including a few winners of limit events in the past. Ian Johns already has one bracelet this summer. Not sure if Brian Rast has ever won a limit event but he's a beast in most of the games. Chiu, Parker, Chen,etc...
