    Any tips for me?

I am going to Vegas from the 7th to the 11th of June. I have about $500 in free play and $100 in food credits as well as free rooms at the Wynn and Venetian and MGM Properties.

So anyone know the best ways to use the free play? It's either free slot play or match plays. I think I'm going to use it as slot play so it's possible to win more than just $500 and it also won't cost me $500 on a table game which would be my entire amount of cash I'm bringing.

I don't have much money but believe it or not the comps are residuals from a bunch of expensive gambling trips before Black Friday when I used to win money playing online poker. Since then I have went broke and have to be a regular person now and work. I wouldn't go to Vegas but hey the comps are really good and my plane ticket was only $150 so I figured I'd try to get lucky with my free play and if I do I plan on playing the millionaire maker. Also if anyone needs a room I'm happy to help you out but you will have to use your credit card because I don't have one and can't risk someone trashing a room anyway. If you want a room and can throw me a few bucks that would be nice too but not necessary as the room is free and I don't really care to make money off someone who needs it. Pm me if you are interested and will be out there I can give you a room at any of the 3 properties because I'll be staying at the rio.

If you're really looking to run up some slots, find an old school "Texas Tea" machine, preferably a quarter one. Make sure it's one of the original ones and not one of the new ones or a Texas Tina. Do max bet, which is like $11 per pull 4 or 5 times, if it hits you'll double your 500. If it doesn't hit or doesn't at least give you enough little wins to keep going without putting new money in, walk away. In my experience, the max bet method works 1/3ish, maybe more, of the time and I always do this whenever I walk into a casino that has it. I know, I know, it sounds too good to be true and how can the casinos possibly have a machine like this. Well it's an especially addictive slot, your money will go super fast if you don't stop playing quickly and it has a loyal fan base (so, there are plenty of people losing on it and you might have trouble being able to play the 1 or 2 machines the casino has)

I originally was thinking about the $5 wheel of fortune to try for a wheel spin but I definitely was planning on something like this to fire maybe $100-$150 of the free play and then doing the penny slots for the rest.. I always max bet no matter how much it costs.. I can't stand winning something knowing if I had max bet it would've been considerably more.. They always give a bonus to the max bet and it's never worth playing the slots but even more so not worth it when you don't bet max lol.

Also one side of my family is Jewish so I should totally already know the cheapest way to do everything but since I'm only half Jew I still have a lot to learn. Druff any suggestions?? Will you be in Vegas on those dates? Brandon will you be out there during those dates? I'd love meet either of you 2 even if it's just for a hello or whatever.

Share needles, then you don't need to buy your own.

You and the meth head from florida sharing a room?

Honestly, your best bet to find a roulette slot machine and bet colors or video poker machine with the max return possible (check paytables for this). Goodluck dude.

Will definitely share needles.. Figured that was obvious though. There's also places to get free needles from what I hear. I know nothing about video poker so I'd have to do some reading I suppose.

    Here are some tips:

    1) If you want to run the freeplay, run it at 9-6 Jacks or Better video poker. Wynn has a $1/credit version of that game. Run it at max credits ($5/hand). You can also play "Not So Ugly Deuces" for 99.73% average return, but that strategy isn't as straightforward and you might make mistakes. Google "Jacks or Better Strategy" and go to the result of wizardofodds.com. You can print it out or just have it up on your phone while you're playing. Venetian isn't as good. You are best off on Double Double Bonus there for 98.98% average return.

    2) I'm not sure what you're looking for as far as money-saving tips. You'll typically get better value eating off-strip, but it can be a pain in the ass to get there. The more "touristy" things you do, the worst value you will get for your money. If going to shows, make sure to ask about "casino tickets" and when they are released, and how to get them. If they say you can't get them, ask again and say that you know you can, and express a willingness to come right before showtime to check if necessary. You won't get a bargain, but you'll get the best seats in the house. If you use your Rewards Credits or Express Comps (or any other comp point system) to pay for food, you don't pay the 8.1% sales tax on whatever portion you pay with points.

I won't be there from June 7-11. You'll just miss me.

Thank you for the info. I doubt I'll be doing any shows but who knows. I might end up extending my trip depending how things go. Flights are really cheap and I'm still waiting on a friend to confirm before booking the flight so everything including the dates are still questionable but the rooms are already booked. I have until the end of July to use the free play so I will be out there by then.

Any ideas on transportation? cabs can add up quick and I won't be traveling ther than to use the free play so I don't want to rent a car.

One major problem, even comped you will need a major credit card on file at the casino to get the room.

If you want to maxmize the value do what Druff said.

If you want to maximize return go find a $5 or $25 slot machine and go to town.

Transportation, take cab to the casino and ride free shuttles or don't be a pussy and walk.

Sounds like an idea. I dont play any machines, but this one was fun cause you really get your money worth of entertainment. You pick boxes and can realistically win a lot if you pick the right briefcase

My tip to you is: Don't take Vegas tips from OSA, but if you do OBV post trip report.
