**Official** Podcast recommendation thread

So I used to be a big fan of local sports radio but it really is complete shit these days between the commercials, the promotional bullshit and a host of other things I can no longer stand. I have decided to take my ears to strictly podcasts for a while, and need some recommendations.

What a found out very quickly is there are literally like 7 million podcasts, and I don't have time to wade through all of them. I got all the popular ones like Rogan, Rich Eisen, PFA OBV etc all subscribed to but I need more.

Anything that has to do with money, sports, weed, sex, business......throw them at me. We are in this brave new world of media and it is high time I get with the program.

"stuff you should know" is a good one, although i stopped listening, "Dave and chuck the freak" local radio show here in Detroit, #1 show, they talk about poop and buttholes and shit (more than that), "history of Internet" podcast, guess what that's about, "history of personal computing".

All's I do is listen to podcasts, pretty much. My TV watching is way down, and there are a bunch of shows I want to catch up on on TV, but there are so many great podcasts out there now. I even pay for a bunch of podcasts, which I kinda just realized now. Fuck it, I'll list everything I subscribe to.

Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing, Colossal Podcast is very often the funniest thing you'll hear all week. Talks to old hollywood people, most of whom don't give a fuck about offending anyone anywhere. Cryingly funny.

Comedy Bang Bang is usually good every week. Hollywood Handbook is harder to get into, but also incredibly funny.

Of shit that don't get updated anymore but are still funny as fuck, Mike & Tom Eat Snack, Best Show Gems, & The Dead Author's Podcast.

I cherrypick Joe Rogan Experience episodes since they're all 3 hoursish. Radiolab, This American Life, and the Bill Simmons podcasts are also listened to selectively.

Ill agree Hard core history is top top defiantly make your first listen is "the wrath of khans" you will not be disappointed.

Adam Carrolla is great 5 days a week some times. saw him live a few weeks ago here in Vancouver defiantly recommend that.

Joe Rogan is killer especially if you like 3hr plus shows, he has a bunch of interesting people come on...Him and Joey Diaz is killer.

The first instalment of Serial is good i am sure you have seen the thread about it here.

The talking Dead podcast is good if your into analyzing the show.

A good everything Vegas podcast is one of my favourite is Five Hundy By Midnight. Not a poker show!
