Going rate for Asian jerk shop "happy ending" in Los Angeles

First off, the following post is NOT about me. Seriously. Really. In fact, if it were about me, I would post the question on one of the many dupe accounts Mintjewlips accuses me of having.

A friend named "Fred" visited an Asian jerk shop for the first time in his life.

After receiving the happy ending, he attempted to tip $50. The massage chick (who was about 25) kept saying, "No... no... no..." and wasn't accepting it, telling him to give more. She eventually verbalized that she was expecting $150.

He didn't have $150 on him, and reluctantly offered $100, which she took but acted unhappy.

When I spoke to him about this, I told him that I knew the typical expected tip to be $50, at least in Las Vegas. This was verified (at least in 2008) by our famous "You want the 50 dolla back" prank call to a Vegas jerk shop, which eventually got busted some years later.

So for those of you in the know about these things...

Is $50 still an acceptable tip for this?

Have any of you gotten one of these in the Los Angeles area?

I still think "Fred" got taken advantage of because he came off as a rube who had never been to one before.

$60 for an hour is standard in non-hotel, non-jerk-shop massage places. That much I know for sure.

It sounds to me like maybe he got in for $25 or something (I'll ask him), and then expected to tip $50 for the happy ending.
