The thing is that the bar for Trump to 'win' the debate was pretty low. I think most people just wanted to see if he looked 'Presidential' and for the most part he did. Hillary's tone is always so grating that the feeling that I get watching her is that of a grandmother that just scolded you for not putting your socks in the hamper.

Not up to me. If people think he did marginally better then the snap polls will show that, criteria amongst you and I be damned. Even a poll that comes out tomorrow or the next day of 'who won the debate' isn't really relevant, unless there is a correlation bump in the polls that show a surge in people most likely to vote that swings toward the 'winner'.

I look at it a little differently. I see him and his team getting into a room and rehearsing debate questions and styles with different blind study crowds that are all 'undecided' that give feedback of what they liked and didn't.

I think the way he played it was the crowdsourced version of Trump. That isn't the Trump I wanted to see and if I had bought a ticket I would have been upset. That being said, I think that the blind study group gave feedback that they wanted to see a Presidential Trump, not the attack dog we all know.

These debates aren't for the people that already want him in or those that hate his guts, they exist to convert the agnostic.

interesting thing... i havent heard of a single undecided voter choosing donald based on last nights performance, but apparently quite a few people who were leaning towards donald are now openly saying they cant do it and are switching to gary johnson.

Literally hours after Trump complimented Holt on his performance, Giuliani is saying the debates are going to be too biased to participate in because apparently 'fact checking' is not fair when only one of your candidates is constitutionally incapable of telling the truth, or even learning what the truth is.
