This has become so pronounced that "patriot" automatically means "right wing" nowadays in the US.
When I've said this to Democrats, they deny it, and claim it's just right wing propaganda that Democrats don't love the country.

The left has decided that America is a racist, homophobic, Islamophobic, transphobic country which also oppresses brown people around the world.
They will not love the US again until it takes a far left turn and becomes a socialist country.
Otherwise, loving the US means endorsement of its policies, and they can't have that.
This is proof positive that Democrats want to radically change the fabric of America, even though they deny it and publicly claim they just want to make small tweaks to make things more equitable for everyone.
There are two and only two areas where western Europe is better than the US:
1) Consumer protection
2) Data privacy
These, of course, are related.
The US does a shit job protecting the consumer from shady and scammy practices by big corporations. Europe does a much better job stopping this shit.
The US does a shit job protecting people's privacy, especially when it comes to data/info harvesters. Again, Europe does a much better job.
I would like to see the US become more like Europe in those two ways.
Most of the other European policies which differ from the US make me happy I don't live over there.

I don’t see what you see there. The vast majority still think America is one of the better countries. If you asked me that question, I’d answer other countries are better or America is one of the better countries.
Like I’d have to be an idiot to not grasp pretty much all of the Scandinavian countries have us beat in almost any metric. Doesn’t mean I don’t love America, just not stupid enough to walk around chanting USA#1 when we are a country of fat people and half the country hates the other half. All the race division. People work far more for a lower standard of living.
Would I rather be around a bunch of blonde agreeable people every day? Yeah that very likely beats life in America. But my family and friends live here, so I live here. I’m still lucky to be born here compared to 95% of the world, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t better places.

No charges against Biden because he's too old and forgetful. He didn't know when his son died or when he was VP or if he was VP when interviewed 4 months ago. This, even though he appears to be guilty of some of the same charges Trump has been charged with.
The corruption is astounding. I don't like Trump for so many different reasons but there is no chance Mr. Biden or anyone calling themselves a democrat will get my vote. I just hope we make it to Trump's next term without getting blown up 1st. Eleven months is a long time. A lot of Chinese and Iranians are here already.
